They have certainly had an effect in the last 24 months

How? Getting Hicks son sacked ? What change has it made to the club ? We still have the same gobshite owners, we've more debt now than 24 months ago and the team is playing worse. It's not their demonstrations that have got Hicks and Gillette to sell up - it's the financial pressure placed by the banks.

The only effect it has had is to wind up regular match go-ers who dont want to be represented by them, cause mob riots near the ground leading the police to intervene, distract people from the match by focussing chants and vitriol at the owners. They would be better served by backing the team and getting some singing going in our ground.

I'm just pointing out that I don't think SOS deserve quite so much sneering, because nobody else is doing anything at all

Hope that's clear enough for you

That's true, but it's very out of character. You normally say anything for a cheap laugh.

In a way I agree, as I said before: I'm kind of glad SoS and RAWK exist. But I couldn't share a room with them for more than a few minutes, and neither could you.

And let's not forget that they're campaigning to keep Rafa - they think he's the acest manager in the world, and that Lucas is the acest player.

They seem to print a fortune on fliers for everyone to hold up during ynwa, which subsequently no one holds up and are dumped on the floor.

Spend a fortune even
[/quote]

Ha. If they could print a fortune they'd buy the club

I have to say the tone of everything they release is comical. It's like an Ealing comedy or something.

"defined in our constitution and in our stated aims and objectives"

I honestly don't know whether they're doing any good or not but their existence will always sadden me.

The problem is , as I see it, with groups like this, anyone can say they are a dyed in the wool Liverpool supporter, there is no passport or test, or birthmark. Consequently some of Liverpool's fair share of looneys can tag on to it and put themselves into positions of "authority". It strikes me now , as it did in the beginning (but more obviously), there seem to be a few ex-conveners from Fords, the Docks and Standard Triumphs (the very old ones that is) , with time on their hands now they have fucked those institutions up , looking for another bandwagon where there is an element of discontent to jump on..... the language and twisted logic and opinion of self-importance suggest I am right on this.

They talk about open dialogue in the past with people of authority atthe club, they railroaded Gillett in a hotel lobby, and fucked Christian Purslow over by publishing allegedly off the record remarks.

They will ultimately do the club more harm than some are thinking they are doing good.

People like Broughton and prospective new owners will look at the treatment meted out to the current owners and wonder if they want to share some of that vitriol if things do not go the way SOS think they should.

Meeting a rabble like that gives them more credibility and and they take strength from it.

Broughton has it right.

SOS have done fuck all apart from be a minor irritattion, it's the bank and the lack of success that influences H&G not brother fucking Union-man

regards
