Fuck, I really hope I didn't like that picture.
I'm nearly 99% sure I didn't, but if I did, I will claim I did it sarcastically.
Maybe I didn't and I'm torturing myself unnecessarily, but I have this horrible, stomach churning feeling...

For the record, and all cards on the table, I'm pretty sure I 'liked' that image of Rodgers looking up to Shanks and Paisley in the clouds. I wake up in the small hours because of it.
You could have "liked" it in an ironic way, because surely that's the only possible explanation for any enthusiasm for that cringey pile of fucking cack.
Oh I'm sure there was, but I'd be totally fine with that, people are allowed to change their opinions.
I'm decent enough at remembering timelines on here. I'm sure we've had a few poster who thought Rodgers was great and their hypothetical transfers actually mirrored some of Rodgers' targets. Then it all went sour and the same posters lashed out at some of the signings Rodgers made even though they also suggested those targets.
Full quote coming at ya:
Silver Sean sez:
I was bereft when we got him in as manager. Partly because he was someone I knew very little about who had not won anything. Partly because I was gutted Kenny was sacked. I thought our club should have gone for a Van Gaal, Hiddinck, someone like that. I would have even preferred Laudrup. I posted on here often about how I thought it was a backwards step, how we were accepting mid-table obscurity, how the owners had dropped a bollock. I genuinely thought we were fucked.
Whatever happens for the rest of the season I would like to point right now how much of a dunderheaded nobhead I was, and how BR is a fucking ace bloke, a brilliant manager and gets us more than I ever thought possible.
I fucking love the guy. The way he deals with the media, the man-management, the deadly steel-hand-in-velvet-glove assassin attitude, the understanding of the club, its fans, our history, what makes us tick.
I should have known when he insisted on bringing back our red nets.
I've always wanted our red nets back.
We need a link to that thread.
I stand by the red nets though.
Think we're ok without personally.
Wow..... there is sure a buch of weirdos here....
Targets like who? We can't even agree on who bought what player, with all that "transfer committe" stuff.
It was obvious that certain players were Rodgers targets and others weren't, but there's quite a few who are total guess-work.

No, I'm on about players like Milner and Benteke for example. I'm pretty sure they were suggested and deemed acceptable targets around the time of the Rodgers love in period but the same players were quickly derided and not wanted as soon as the Rodgers bromance quelled.
People turned on the same players they once suggested because they were seen as Rodgers men.
It has to be said that in that thread that Keni and Jexy are both absolutely cool on Rodgers. It's a 'let's suck his dick when he wins something' attitude, which has stood the test of time.
Don't worry, that was all sorted out for us.

I was happy with both. Although obviously the price was a joke with Benteke
Thank God for Peter Hague! He appears to be trying to do an unfunny parody of Alan Partridge in that thread. Does that happen a lot?
I didn't want Benteke myself personally but he is a decent player obviously. My point was more directed at posters changing their opinion on a player just because Rodgers wanted that player.
i.e.
Poster x: "I think we should sign Milner."
News report: "Rodgers identifies Milner as the man to lead his midfield".
Poster x: "I can't believe we are signing Milner etc etc"

Peter was definitely one of the posters who turned on a player he initially wanted at Liverpool just because he hated Rodgers and you couldn't really associate yourself with a player Rodgers also wanted.
Peter: "I think we should sign Milner."
News report: "Rodgers identifies Milner as the man to lead his midfield".
Peter "I can't believe we are signing Milner, what a waste of money etc. "
He loved the wee cunt. The same Peter Hague who described Rodgers as the best manager in the league and almost faultless?
It's very worrying that dantes is almost the lone voice of reason in that thread, and got Rodgers spot on.
And who was "Spaghetti Legs"? Don't recognise him
He loved the wee cunt.
Spagetti Legs was a bit of a shouty loon who had a particular issue with the Irish.
Loving this thread, went back in time to give Skully a like for being Synonymous
Db's offering to the thread was "In 30 years Utd fans are going to celebrate the day he retires with us 20 titles and 10 cl's ahead of them"
And Jono loved him once too...
"I was one of Brendons biggest Critics, in fact I even called for his head at one point stating we would never win anything under Rodgers as he lacks the experince and mentality required from a top level manager.
How wrong was I.. I love the wee cunt now.. shiney teeth and all. Fantastic turnaround over the last 12 months, We are playing some of the best football I have seen in years..."
I bet Mr Rodgers penis is beautiful
Its about as long as the sword of omens.
and it has an eye in it.
He loved them TOO much? There was another poster who seemed to really hate the Irish. And the Welsh. And everyone apart from the English. Maybe it was the same fella, although I can't remember his name either. He used to get very very angry during Internationals
