It has to be said that in that thread that Keni and Jexy are both absolutely cool on Rodgers. It's a 'let's suck his dick when he wins something' attitude, which has stood the test of time.

No, I'm on about players like Milner and Benteke for example. I'm pretty sure they were suggested and deemed acceptable targets around the time of the Rodgers love in period but the same players were quickly derided and not wanted as soon as the Rodgers bromance quelled.
People turned on the same players they once suggested because they were seen as Rodgers men.
It's very worrying that dantes is almost the lone voice of reason in that thread, and got Rodgers spot on.

I didn't want Benteke myself personally but he is a decent player obviously. My point was more directed at posters changing their opinion on a player just because Rodgers wanted that player.
Peter was definitely one of the posters who turned on a player he initially wanted at Liverpool just because he hated Rodgers and you couldn't really associate yourself with a player Rodgers also wanted.

News report: "Rodgers identifies Milner as the man to lead his midfield".
Peter "I can't believe we are signing Milner, what a waste of money etc. "

I don't think I've ever been DEAD-SET against a player before they've even kicked a ball for us. Balotelli is the only one I can think of.
Although I was hugely unenthusiastic about Peter Crouch too, and was horrified when Benitez wanted Heinze. Most others I either have no idea about, have hopes for, or vague doubts, but I'm rarely that emphatic. Of course, the transfer fee is another matter.

He loved them TOO much? There was another poster who seemed to really hate the Irish. And the Welsh. And everyone apart from the English. Maybe it was the same fella, although I can't remember his name either. He used to get very very angry during Internationals
