I notice there's no post-match thread, or lengthy set of comments in this thread - people don't really give a fuck when we win eh?
It's weird that there's no mention of why Matip's absence has not been mentioned at all. I've been searching and it seems that there's just the assumption that he has a recurring injury. Any news?
That was most enjoyable
Where did you see this? And the people who lambasted him use the fact that it was his cross that lala scored from as further reason to criticise him for not crossing enough
Wow. Some right touchy posters in here..Most people only enjoy criticising players, so when we win they haven't so much ammunition.
Vide the thread devoted to criticising Clyne who is arguably our most consistently good player.
Ha ha..The opening line in the Clyne thread says that he is "probably our most consistent performer."
This line of someone wanting us to lose or a player to fail is really stupid.
Ive known Brendan what 12 years? And so have you all. And you know better.
There are players I have hated but every time they play I want them to prove me wrong and its the same for every proper football fan.
Of which Brendan is definitely one.
Commentator mentioned something about a reoccurrence of an ankle injury that kept him out of the Bournemouth game. It's weird that there's no mention of why Matip's absence has not been mentioned at all. ..so what you are saying is that posters are only reading headlines?Fair point, but the problem is it was preceded by the thread title "Hardline on Clyne".

I agree with the overall sentiment here, stats are definitely not telling everything.. in fairness I was the one who brought the stats to the table as I was curious to see how he had fared in that department. Was a bit surprised to be honest with the lack of assists, as I like you have seen him as being industrious in attack from time to time. The "hardline on Clyne" thread was based on a statistic that Clyne had only achieved one assist in some 999 games. To me, this only illustrates how meaningless football statistics tend to be. I have been watching Clyne going forward and putting in good crosses for a couple of seasons now.
The plague eyes haunted me.Are you including the years Brendan was banned?
Its about that isnt it?12 fucking years
I acknowledge Your thoughts, and appreciate Your concern for poor Brendan. But unfortunately You are wrong.
Of course people have their own agendas. I am no better. I really disliked Hodgson getting the job as manager. I was convinced he was not the type to lead us. Ill don't have to og in details but I cringed when he even opened the mouth. Today I couldn't care less if he has success or not, and even if I wanted him to lift us I just knew this was a bad idea.
The Brendan case is a curious case. Maybe he was not very good at something earlier in life and maybe he found a niche were he could prove people wrong on the internet. I don't know. But any more agendadriven bullshit is hard to find. The Draw at West Ham were both Karius and Firmino made no impact, you just know he will start the post match thread within seven Seconds after the match. When we hammer Boro away better sneak in a one liner somewhere and let ther rage rest until we actually fuck up again. If i.e Firmino Plays well, the eager is not there, as he actually would have to rate him. That would prove him wrong, hence better avoid it. It is easy to see through and it a Natural thing for any human being. You protect Your views and try to portray yourself in a good way. But when you pretend to be smart, and proves to be not too smart it looks a bit stupid. Hammering the same stupidity into every post doesn't help. So of course Brendan doesn't want Firmino to prove him wrong. He wants him to prove him right. Liverpool winning - fine... Firmino playing well - not so fine.
That's the general, non-committed customers.Or you it could be down to the researched and proven fact that people are way more likely to comment when disappointed of annoyed with something than they are when they are satisfied of happy.
Have you never worked in a field where you ask for customer feedback?
You will always get more more comments from the negative side, which are longer and more detailed.
The happy people either don't bother at all of obly write a line or too.
That's the general, non-committed customers.
