In the BBC MotD interview Rodgers said this is the second dislocation he's had. He did the other one whilst with Chelsea. Seems his shoulders are the equivalent of Cisse's ankles 🙁

So that's it for the his first season with us and means we have no options beyond Sturridge and Suarez.

He does seem to be a decent option but we haven't had the chance to see anything from him due to his various serious injuries.

It irks a bit that Rodgers volunteers this stuff after an injury. When Borini was injured earlier in the season he pointed out the player had suffered the same injury at the same time of year for the past three years. I quite like him as a player, but if Rodgers knew he was this injury prone it makes his price seem a bit steep.

I wouldn't put dislocated shoulders in the injury prime section, its not like he keeps tearing his hamstrings.

He's cursed.
We have put Ngoo out on loan, Yesil is crocked, what are our back up options?, please no one say Shelvey

If it stops him playing for 4 months then it's pretty bloody serious to my eyes.

We have proved conclusively that we need Suarez/Sturridge playing together to be consistently winning.

We have also proved that there is no other striker in the squad able to play at the same level. Borini may be capable but we have yet to see him play up front for more than 10 minutes.

You can't factor in someone dislocating a shoulder especially if it hasn't happened before, there's usually a good chance if if you do it once it'l happen again on the same shoulder but to do the other shoulder is bad luck.

It could be his last game for the club and I wouldn't be one bit disappointed, for the price he's been a complete flop regardless of injuries he's showed nothing.

As I said in the match thread, we won't "miss" borini as he's done fuck all so far. Will be like a new signing next season.

To form a judgement of a player having barely seen him play is absolute bollocks.

Borini needs to be given a season, or possibly even two, before we know what he's about because this one has been a write-off. I feel sorry for the lad.

So you will give anyone a season? Hmmm what if those players take you down? I'm not saying Liverpool in general, but you can't be like that.

Wigan have 5 new players this season, do they give them all a year to settle in? No is the answer.

I think he was pointing out how bizarre it was that he managed to get the same injury in the opposite shoulder, I don't think he was deliberately making a point about him being injury prone, it's not the way it came across on MOTD anyway and certainly not a stick to beat him with.

I wasn't claiming it was. I just find it a bit depressing he seems to know about all of these past problems and still took an expensive punt on him.

He just wanted to show himself and get involved. No reason to fly in to that block with such risk so late in a 5-win.

Won't blame him one bit however, his eargerness to do well is a good trademark. Happened to a lot of players before him too.

Feels for the lad, hope he recovers well.

I think he is an average player with great heart and a brilliant attitude but I'm not his biggest fan.
Some of the posts about him in the match thread yesterday were shocking and disrespectful.
I shudder to think what vile shite would have been posted if we were losing the game.

My wife's little brother has a bum shoulder and has dislocated it 3 times, under similar types of fairly innocuous circumstances. Depending on how it's dislocated, it does sometimes require surgery, and that surgery is not an automatic success. There are genetic reasons why some people are predisposed to dislocating a shoulder, so while for some it's a sort of "fuck it, pop that back in" sort of thing, for others, it will actually become more and more likely to dislocate in the future. The good news is it looked like he reduced, or at least partially reduced the dislocation very quickly, as when we saw it pop back in.

His attitude is excellent and has been at his previous clubs too. I also wish him a good recovery, not least because we're clearly stuck with him now.

Tell you what though. No more Italians please. Ever.

Just see any losing match thread to see most shite being written about the club, players, managers etc.

With apologies to Piedro for being "boring".

Borini is probably a nice guy. But a good Liverpool player i think he will never be. And those who say he need a season will probably be excusing someone like Michu bout the difficult second season next year. We dont spend 12 pounds on the Borinis of the world.
