Yes, he's a massive apologist.

Also, does he really have a point about "honesty". What the fuck does that mean. We've got a horrible set up, with several players way out of position, and that's been the case for game after game after game. He bought several of the worst offenders, and selects others unnecessarily. He's tried absolutely nothing new and changed absolutely nothing, because he believes in his shit methods, partially because his standards are so low about what constitutes success. He hasn't changed or reacted to anything in any way. Of course eventually the morale dips when nothing has been working for game after game after game.
