Riera will play, he looked good when he came on against the Blueshite.

That will be the only change, if Torres isn't fit.
Surely Benayoun will start as well?

I hope so at least.

..............................PEPE...............................

JOHNSON......CARRA...AGGER...........AURELIO

.................MASHER......AQUILANI..................

BENAYOUN.......GERRARD......................RIERA

...........................KUYT...................................

That team would tear Rovers a new one I'm sure.
I doubt we could tear anyone a new one with our current levels of confidence and fitness. I'd expect the game to be quite similar to the Everton game - though I would hope we'd play better football than we did in that one. Another win and clean sheet would be great though.
We're still in a rut, so I'll take 3 points, however they are achieved (as long as we don't get any injuries)

Rafa has said that Aquilani's fitness levels are still not up to starting ...... he is being slated for a start vs. Fiorentina (figures).

Yossi should be full fit and able to start. Torres unlikely. Otherwise I like KHL's team and would go with that (Lucas in for Aquilani naturlich) - it is a much stronger team than having wash up front.

Torres & Aquilani to get 20 mins apiece.

I think Wash is actually a better lone striker than Kuyt in most ways.
Not on Sundays evidence IMO

I didn't say he was a good lone striker - just better than Kuyt.

He isn't better than Kuyt at anything
He's better than Kuyt at scoring goals so far this season.

Why do people think that Rafa wants to play Aurelio ahead of Riera?

If Riera can play, he will. I think Rafa realizes that his preference of Babel early in the season was ill advised, and Aurelio at LM was a stop gap, and nothing else.

How many times has Kuyt played as the lone striker?

Reina
Johnson
Agger
Carra
Insua
Benayoun
Mash
Lucas
Riera
Gerrard
Kuyt
That's pretty good. We'll win comfortably.

That looks like a decent side actually Mark

Lining up like this?

--------------Reina
Johnson-Agger-Carra-Insua
Yossi--Masch--Lucas--Riera
------------Gerrard
--------------Kuyt

Fucking cunting Lucarse and his fucking flid mate Insua

I hate Liverpool FC this season

Still, at least Eggnog isn't playing, but we do have the slowest side in the Premiership; other than Magic and Gerrard there is no pace anywhere

We'll beat them anyway. Hopefully

nice one mark

My only concern is Kuyt dropping too deep. The fucker's just so keen to get involved, we end up playing with 6 midfielders and no strikers when he's supposed to be up front.

Stay up there and stretch things please Dirk.

Anyway, that side's more than good enough to win. Which we will do, comfortably.

I don't get your issue with Eggnog, he's came in and scored goals. Kuyt is a shit striker. He's a great player who's instrumental to us and can crop up with important goals in a less pressured role that doesn't lay much of the goal burden on him, but when he's played upfront on his own in the past he's largely been shit.

Any links lads? My son is under the weather so I'm staying home to (hopefully) watch it, any help is much appreciated.

N'gog's the latest in a long long line of players to make Brendan look quite the fool.

Yeah, like Lucas, Morientes, Insua, Sissoko, Kirkland, Biscan, Cheyrou, Drossena, Pellegrino, Nunez and Josemi

Every single player that has made my hate list (usually before everyone else joins in) I have been dead right about

Lucarse is another I will be right about, because he's fucking shite

*shrugs*

Kewell, Babel, Benayoun, N'gog, Aurelio, Park, etc.

That's off the top of my head.

Considering he has been thrown in at the deepend I think Ngog has done rather well. 5 goals so far is a decent return.
