The only thing I can say in defence of Rafa is that he sees the players in training everyday and we played with 10men for an hour in our last match (tough away game), so it's possible some players are still tired.

Bar the sending off thing that's really how Lucas became undroppable

Couldn't care less about Babel, but Agger and Mascher could be serious losses in this game. We basically have no pace in the middle of defence at all. That team really does smack of prioritising the Europa League, which seems bizarre almost any way you look at it. (Unless, of course, Rafa is counting on not being here next season, so it wouldn't matter to him if we're in next season's CL, but an extra trophy on the CV would be helpful.)

Hopefully Torres, Gerrard, Maxi, Kuyt and Yossi will be on song and we'll score enough goals to win the game in spite of any selection errors.
