Birmingham City vs Liverpool

4th is gone now, and tbh we dont even deserve to be in the CL.
Subbing your best player at 1-1 and 30 mins to go, fuck me.
Leave Rafa, please.

That was 2 points completely thrown away. If we had gone at Birmingham with a positive attitude from the start, we could have blown them away. >🙁

RedStar - Maxi has been the best player on the pitch after Gerrard.

Ngog should have scored again ... DAMNIT.
he is a lightweight, he has 3 clearcut chances today and bottled every one of them with a tame effort
How were his efforts 'tame'? His first chance hit the cross bar (still not sure if Hart got a piece), his second was going in until it hit Aqua and the 3rd one was a big mishit.

He had a good game.

Just came back from sending the missus to the airport.

Another shit result.

Wonder how long it will be till The Cult shows their face.

why were yossi and kuyt given as long as they were? in fact why did they start in the first place.
kuyt was our best player against benfica he deserved to start .

You know the [sub][Rafa] [/sub]rules of soccer.

Substitutions may only commence on or after the 63rd minute of play.

'Cos Rafa sucks balls big time...

For us to get 4th, City and Spurs must lose at least 2 games, maybe even 3. Could happen of course, but we really blew it today.
City can lose to Arsenal, Villa, Spurs and Utd.
Spurs can lose to Arse, chelsea, utd and City. But its really totally out of our hands, and City will probably get it.

How sweet would it be though if Spurs lose 3 games and then beats City the 5th of may. And we pop past City.

*dreams*

If we are to win our last five games Hansern I think it would probably be enough to get it.
Whether we deserve it is another matter.

the horrible thing is we are now going to be into the chelsea game needing to WIN with chelsea with the league in their sights.

Oneach occasion he just directed it goalwards without much conviction, the 2nd one he kicked at 2 players standing about 4 yards in front of him, no composure no belief in any of his efforts. I dont like him generally but today confirmed it for me, he has not heart what so ever, nicce touches but not appetite for a battle and no commitment, combined with the football black holes that are Kuyt and Lucas that team was a disaster

I want to know why rafa thinks yossi is a better option than babel on the left, I'm not talking in a free role I'm talking on the left were I can't remember when was the last time I saw a good performance from yossi.

Don't. Just don't do it to yourself.

Today was the day for me, there is no way we'll get fourth. We'll probably get ahead of spurs, but City is potentially 7 points ahead of us. SEVEN.

And add to that the fact that we are fucking shite, and won't win our remaining 5 games.

I can only think he was giving Yossi game time before Benfica on Thursday, so that he's ready to play in his worst position (on the left) for that game too.

Lads fucking forget 4th place and all this but if City lose games and Spurs lose two and we win ours bollocks.

It's not going to happen, end of story.

We had to win today to give us a glimmer of hope, even if we had won we'd still be outsiders but now we've no chance.

Might as well have Chelsea beating us at Anfield now, if it means the Scum dont win the league. FUCK IT

You're entitled you your opinion but no way should we be looking to sell a player like Benayoun.

Yossi's a quality little player and more than good enough for a place in the Liverpool squad.

There are several others that I'd get shot of before Yossi, mate.

Me too. It's a ridiculous thing to say, really, given that we seriously lack squad depth. Yossi is exactly the sort of player you want on the bench or as someone who can step in when your first-choice RW/no10 is out. The reason he's been so anonymous lately is that Rafa keeps picking him on the left.

I think most of our first team now are good squad players who can come in every now and then when the key players are injured. We have the makings of a good *squad* but our first XI is sorely lacking in quality. People like Yossi, Insua, Lucas, Babel, Maxi and Kuyt, to a certain extent, belongs on the bench.

"we get an owner that's loaded"

If that were possible do you think it'd be more likely once we're out of the Champions League? If it were that easy we'd have one already.
We would have had Loaded owners if it Weren't for that greedy bastard Moore's. The rumour went he shafted DIC by leaking details of there bid to the americans. City done it and there brand is nowhere near appealing as the Liverpool one, so i think it would be easy to attract a sugardaddy.
I don't think Moores was greedy but I do think he was incompetent from day one. He dithered over selling more than once and naffed off previous bids/expressions of interest that way. Ultimately his faffing around led to an ultimatum from DIC which he either ignored or failed to get his act together to answer, which left H and G as the only show in town.

Agree with this; Moores did try his best.

Unfortunately it's been pretty woeful.

Jules, as I remember it, DIC took months over their "due diligence" exercise and it was they who were indecisive. The Americans took two weeks to do the same thing.
