Always admired this one for the concentration and awareness:
top 5 this season
1. Salah v City
2. Salah v Watford
3. Thiago v Porto
4. Naby v Palace
5. Trent v Newcastle
If we're talking quality of goal, Fowler against brann Bergen.
If we're talking emotional reaction, it's harder
Who was the scouse striker that looked a bit like Gerrard - never really made it by scored a ducking belter from distance in the last minute.
Salah (H) vs United??top 5 this season
1. Salah v City
2. Salah v Watford
3. Thiago v Porto
4. Naby v Palace
5. Trent v Newcastle
What? How young are you? that's a classic.
Back when Tyler hid his hatred for us.
Yeh totally agree ..In fairness some of those goals are there because of their importance at the time and the memories they evoke, not necessarily because they were great goals. But it was fab to watch them back anyway.
Happy days. 😀
Actually I have to say Allison’s goal was the ultimate pisstake. It was the only goal scored by a goalie and the way and timing it was scored, surely has to be the best ever.
Shame it was without the fans.
Yeh. The title ‘best goal’ needs changing.not sure what to.Doesn't best mean highest quality?
Allison's goal was just a very decent header. It's probably not in the top 500 we've ever scored.

Most of the goals in the top ten decided are by virtue of them being in cup finals or other huge significance. I guess people are voting on emotions. If you played a video of Salah or Suarez's top ten goals, on an objective measure it would batter most of the goals in that official list.
Just to be a bit pedantic here myself - why the hell does "best" goals have to mean those of the highest quality? Why is "goals that trigger the most positive emotion" not a good measure of what is "best"?
Is your best friend the person you know of the highest quality? I somehow doubt it or we would all be best buddies with mother teresa or someone like that
Now - what about "world class" ....
