Of course not, but still what LOSC Lille have got going is quite special.

Beating Marseille 1-nil last night took them not only to 2nd place in Ligue1, one point behind Zlatan Saint-Germain, but it was also their 11th consecutive clean sheet.

In their total 16 games of the Season they've now kept the opposition from scoring in amazing 14 games.

Their Nigerian keeper Enyeama are close to the all time clean sheet record in France, set back in the Season 92-93 where Bordeaux's Gaetan Huard (who?) went 1176 minutes without having to pick the ball out from the net behind him.

Enyeama has now gone 1035 minutes without conceding.

@Ryan will never guess whom their blond CB is btw.

*wink*

Although it's an impressive record (much like the one Roma had earlier in the season), I don't think the standard of Lille's opposition is very high. I think it's a bit like Chelski keeping a clean sheet against Scunthorpe.

Enyeama was excellent for Macabbi TA last year and he'll be starting for Nigeria in next year's world cup ... Excellent shot stopper.

It's obviously not Premiership standard but I think you are being quite harsh - the likes of Lyon, Marseille, PSG, Monaco, St. Etienne are perhaps not world beaters but they'd tear Scunthorpe apart. And probably Hull too.

Worth noting that

(1) 2 of the sides from top 5 European League are Roma (4 in 14) and Lille (4 in 16).
Next up are Bayern Munich (7 in 14), PSG (8 in 15), Barcelona and Atletico Madrid (9 in 15).

Lille's manager for the previous 5 years? Rudi Garcia. When he won the title with Lille in 2010/11, they had the best GD and were joint 2nd best defence (conceding 1 more than the best defence). Roma's current manager? Rudi Garcia.

(2) Lille's current manager is Rene Girard, who won the title with Montpellier with the joint-best defence and GD in 2011/12.

(3) Impressive considering losing the likes of Digne, Chedjou, Debuchy, Pedretti and Payet over the year of 2013.

So what you're saying is we've had the wrong Dane the whole time!

Haha.. absolutely not. This lad has been hit and miss after he moved from Italy to Germany, he has got all the raw attributes though so he can still come good, quite young still. A good foil for a type like Agger, but nothing like him.
