I just was thinking maybe he ought to have done something for a lifetime to get a lifetime award.
He seems a decent lad and he's certainly appears to be contributing back to our nation in a footballing sense but I'd sort of expect some longevity before we get all this lifetime award crap.
I mean there's every chance he will play for England again if the FA feels there pockets aren't full enough.

Contrast this bollocks to Ryan Giggs doing what the whole Liverpool and Everton teams normally do by devoting a full day to his local hospital. Don't know what happened to the rest of the team, it seems he's done this off his own back, so fair play.

They only do this so they can wheel out Bobby Charlton every year. This BBC seem to fall over themselves to fawn at Utd's feet at every opportunity and the whisky soaked twat STILL doesn't do post match interviews!

Private life aside, I admire the way Beckham put that World Cup sending-off behind him and then grew into the England captaincy. There have been plenty of more talented footballers, but he's made the most of what he can offer on and off the field. Fair play to the guy.

He has been a quality midfielder who created goals and scored plenty, he was a great passer.
His personal life is what it is, he seems like a good parent and stuck with Posh.
So what if he has milked the fact he is a good looking fucker, Redders is doing it now as much as he can.
He is always willing to do the academies around the world and sacrifice his time for Olympic and world cup bids.

Beckham is an icon, a patriot and an ambassador. He is professional on the pitch and with the media. He appears to handle his fame well. I know I wouldn't want the constant pressure and attention he gets. If there is to be a special award he is deserving.
