Gives them 2 more years to challenge for La Liga.
can't see the team able to compete in the CL.

Are any of them long term solutions? I’ll be honest and say I don’t know who the first 2 are.

Depay and Garcia are reasonable signings in that you can make an argument for them. Wijnaldum too if they don't have him on a bazillion euros a week like they do other players.

Aguero is a big gamble and symptomatic of the thinking that's gotten them into this mess to begin with. Great player but on his way down and his fitness is increasingly unreliable.

The barca fans don't like a failing dutch manager who buys ordinary dutch players and then treats them like his undropable favorites. The white handkerchiefs will be coming out.

Aguero is a fine signing, if it weren't for the context of letting Suarez go, and the fact that they need a complete rebuild and to take their medicine.

Stats-wise Depay topped M'Bappe last season (goals + assists). Maybe we're signing the wrong one?

I don't see the point in that either.

He's still the best player in the world. 30 league goals again this season. If they lost him, they'd be a midtable side.

They obviously need to rebuild, but there's a way to do that while he's still around.

I think they’re 4 appropriate signings for where Barca are right now. There’s risk with all of them, but that’s the beauty of them getting them on frees - although I thought they’d said the wage bill itself was their major issue so they must be planning some significant departures

To be fair, any team would struggle with losing Puyol, Xavi, Iniesta, Alves, Neymar, Suarez, Mascherano in quick succession... while also dealing with ageing players like Pique, Alba, Busquets and Messi.

That said, their recruitment has been horrendous. I see Gini doing a decent job for a couple of years. Same for Aguero. Depay, meh. Garcia has never convinced me either. I think it's more of the same, to be honest.
