I am *ssooo* excited about this.

I think it will be a score draw. 2-2 Maybe

.............and Droylsden to win on penalties? Oh, you meant El Classico - I hope it's a drab 0-0 draw ;-).

I don't fucking care. I hate both teams. I possibly hate Barca more, but not enough to nake me give a fuck.

I find it hard to understand how anyone can be truly excited or bothered about which particular bunch of cunts wins this game. What emotional investment can you possibly have in it?

Apparently some people like watching other football teams.

I support Liverpool. I couldn't fucking care less about some bellends in Spain, unless of course they're playing someone I hate more.

Like I said, I find emotional investment hard to understand when there are no obvious connections

But then, I'm a rational human being.

Yeah, and they don't play for Liverpool, so who cares who wins?

I'd be happy seeing a few injuries and Ronaldo getting shot

It's the same as millions of LFC fans around the world, there is no obvious connection why someone who lives in Malaysia would have with LFC but they do.
There are loads of people on the forum who are the same, including myself who have not been to Liverpool and have no connection but still have emotional investment.

How is it the same? So do you support one team? A team in every league? One in every country?

What the *fuck* are you talking about?

i seldom watch foreign football, either, precisely because of the absence of an emotional connection, but surely a match like tonight's is attractive just for seeing 2 fantastic football teams do battle? just for its own entertainment and drama?

you mean to say you've got no interest in, say, the world cup final, either? no emotional connection there, but we all watch it. don't we?

I'm not excited about it, though. Nor do I really fucking give a shit who wins. I want them both to lose.
oh fair enough then. i'm not really usually bothered either, but i hate mourinho and want him to fail at madrid, unlikely as it is, so i'm all for barca tonight.

You have no footballing love to go around?

I'm usually in the 'do not give a shit' camp. But its sooooo long since we've played exiting football that I'll be watching just so I can remember what its like. Same reason I watched the word cup.

I'm mildly excited about this game because I've just gone back home for a few days; a place where bird-watching and apple picking are seen as heart-pulsing entertainment.

So I think I'm allowed.

I have an emotional attachment, I've considered myself a Barca fan since Euro 96 when I feel in love with Patrick Kluivert, admittedlyt I've only ever made it to see them once, but they've always been my 'second team' if you will.

Although, I think I'm a bit of a crap Barca fan of late as I don't hate Madrid, mainly due to my unnatural love for one Xabi Alonso and Sergio Ramos.

Anyway, why would someone not be excited if they're a football fan? I'm a Liverpool fan first and foremost, yes. But I am also a fan of the game of football, this will be a spectacle of it, so why would I not want to watch it?

I don't get it. Are people not watching the CL this season cos we're not in it? And do people not watch non-LFC PL games? Weirdos.

What ? You didn't watch the match yesterday ?

i lived in madrid last year and am very fond of the city. some of the people i met there were big madrid fans so there's my reasoning

Monday 8pm.

Winner? I think Real will win.
Yeah me too I'm afraid but I'm rooting for the tippy-tappy bellends.

As in I followed him from then on, and from there somewhere along the lines I started supporting them.

Although like I said a bit of a crap fan as I've been too fond of Madrid lately to be a real fan
