I think he's talented, RM, just not as good as people make out. I'd put him on a par with, say, someone like berbatov. Good, but not world class. I haven't seen as much as him as you have, i'm sure. But when i have seen him over the last 6, 7 years he has been muck. And that's been mostly against good sides. That's why i'll never consider him great. Inter have got an amazing deal here if true.

I agree that Inter are getting the best out of the deal becuase although zlatan is better he is not THAT much better. I rate him highly and would put him in the world class category which the likes of berbatov is not.

Why do you think he's world class? That's not me having a go, im genuinely wondering. For all his technique and ability, there is the fact, and it is a fact, he struggles against the big teams. I wouldnt put him in the top 7 or 8 strikers in the world.

Frankly trophies in a piss weak league for the strongest side are all well and good. Its not that hard. If trophies are a benchmark then Darren Fletcher has won many trophies.

So all you twats who say swap deals never happen can shut up.

for me it is a combination of the following;
- great goals to game ratio in a top euro league
- winning league titles in a top euro league
- playing for some of the biggest clubs in the world
- and now potentially being transferred for a fee in excess of 60m pounds,
- and obviously fanstatic skill and ability

there are not many strikers in the world who can match all of those. I would only put torres as striker who is certainly better thean him - in respect of all the other strikers zlatan has a very respectable shout of ebing better than them.

If we're judging by CV's, Eto'o is better. He has a better goals to game ratio, he has titles in a better league, two European trophies and does it in the big games.

Villa is better also, but his CV is lacking due to playing for Valencia.

ooops I forgot about villa! I would say him and torres are better than zlatan. but i think zlatan is better than eto'o (see reasons mentioned above).

Eto'o plays in a better league, scores more goals and actually scores in big games.

I'd have eto'o, torres, villa, drogba, rooney, aguero all above him. Thats off the top of my head.

I'll get to see more of him if he moves to spain, but i'm very far from convinced with what i've seen.

Who will Inter buy with that cash?

scott parker.

HAHAHA

Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti is confident he can tie up a swap deal for Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o which would see Zlatan Ibrahimovic move the opposite way.

Inter will also receive about £39m and Alexander Hleb on a season-long loan.

Madness.

I'd be mad as hell is I was Eto'o. This deal is crazy.

Zlatan is no where near worth what they've just paid for him. Although his interviews are pretty priceless. I wanted him to come to England just to watch him in post match interviews.

Barca really must want rid of Eto'o

Eto'o and 40M is absolutely absurd. Barca should hang their heads in shame.

I wonder if it's a case of keeping up with the Jones'.

Eto'o sounds like one of the biggest cunts in football, and Guardiola really want him out.

Absurd deal, but Inter look like a real force next year with these transfers. The CL will be their biggest target.

To be fair Serie A is the hardest league to score goals in...I´m not sure if Eto'o will match Zlatans goal ration and Zlatan probably won´t match Eto'os due to different styles, strenghts etc. I really hope the deal will go through so we can follow this!

it'd almost seem as though Barca are paying Inter to get Etoo off their hands! And enough cash to cover his wages for the next 3-4 years! 😱

Which is odd given there are more goals scored in Serie A than the premier league.

This deal beggars belief.

Just goes to show that when another team wants a player, its amazing what you can get in return. Hopefully, we can do the same to Real IF Alonso goes.

i love zlatan, hugely entertaining on and off the field - he is world class and better than eto'o, but he is not 39 millions pounds better than eto'o.
