Yah, there has been much grumbling about his form this year ... He didn't really hit the ground running last year either.

Interesting. He won’t be back but nice that he hasn’t worked out.

Fuck them

And him ... He acted the cunt to get out of the club, got what he wanted and is now struggling to come even close to the form that made him worth 142 odd million quid.
I'm a bit surprised if I'm honest - is it the system that Klopp set up for him, or the difficulty of playing 2nd/3rd fiddle to Messi/Suarez? Or that his style actually suited the Premier LEague? Maybe Chelsea will replace Hazard with him next year ...?

He’d come back here surely first

We’re better off without him and have invested the money excellently. At times he was wonderful but we are a better team without him now.

I have no worries for him. He will have an Nice career in Sevilla or similar and probably also Reach the EL final at some stage.

How about Lallana?
Who has made more of an impact?
lol

Lallana is done. He won't be here next season. He may enjoy some gratis Silverware before his return to Southampton or wherever though, hopefully

I wish Lallana offered what us what Shaqiri has on the pitch. I remember wanting to sign him back then and I was absolutely ecstatic when I heard that he was available this summer. Perfect addition to the squad.
My point is, I think Lallana for what we paid, was supposed to be on the same level as Shaqiri.

He was supposed to be more and for a short while he was. He had a four month period where he was unplayable and easily our best player.

He’s finished now

Lallana did give us a great season or so, he's not that bad, he's just a clear step down compared to his competition, unfortunately..a bit like Henderson...:santagraham:😗

Tbf, Coutinho wasn't worth anywhere near what Barca paid for him, but they deserve everything they got.
They poached a player that had just signed a new contract, we were not in a position to sell and we made them agree to a really over the top deal.
I haven't watched Barca play that much this season so I can't really say anything about Coutinho's performances, but he did look world class for us at times, maybe the tactics don't suit him?

10 goals and 5 assists in half a season last year seems like a pretty good return to me.

Barca is a shark tank, competition for places is nothing like what he would have experienced at Anfield, if a player gets injured or loses form they can be frozen out quickly. It was just a couple of weeks ago papers were saying Dembele was fisnished there. There will be somebody else out of favour next week

He went to a team where there was no pressure - they had basically won the league by Jan/Feb ... Sure - great numbers -> no arguments there, but when there's no pressure and the team is 'showing you off', it's easier to impress than in a more competitive La Liga (odd really), where there's more pressure to perform ... Been a tougher year for him.
