According to The Athletic, Lallana will wave goodbye to Anfield at the end of the season.

“I’m not sure if [Minamino] is viewed as the Lallana replacement but it certainly strengthens that area of the squad,” James Pearce said during a Q&A.

Lallana will leave at the end of the season.”

@Modo will be delighted

Imo he did well for a spell but ultimately age, injuries and better players sidelined him

I think it was ultimately the ridiculous number of injuries. He could have turned into a better player had he trained and played consistently under Klopp. He’s ended up doing rehab work for the majority of his time. Shame.

Like Sturridge, shame he could not stay healthy and wish him well in his next move. We simply need more reliable players than him and Minamino will make a fantastic replacement and upgrade.

It's time.
Wish him well, wonder what could have been if he'd ever managed to stay healthy, but that's a squad place that can be put to better use now.

I'm indifferent to be honest because he's been irrelevant for at least 3 years. He should have been sold then too. We paid too much for him at the time and got basically nothing in return.

A little unfair. For a time he was very influential and voted England's best player one year. A shame injuries have taken their toil. I reckon he has also been a model team mate and core member of the the leadership team, undoubtedly having an influence on the moral of the squad.

Yeah well that didn't happen while wearing the LFC jersey and also I kinda expect players to have the other characteristics you mentioned. That alone isn't worth 25 mill which was marquee player money back then.

He always gave/gives 100%. Its not necessarily his fault if he kept getting injured. Klopp likes him and trusts him he works with him day to day so I'll cut him some slack.

He was a good player for Liverpool for a while and even this season has played well when called upon. Guess we will never truly know his level of influence but could well be worth 25mil if he has in some way helped win the champions league and potentially the league this season.

I don't think we can look at Lallana's injury as something we should just excuse him from contributing to the team. He had one great season where he played out of his skin, and that's the level he was and I am with @Modo on this one. We paid way too much for him, and he already hold a history of not able to play full season and also full match back-to-back without getting injured. He was often taken out by Pochettino during his Soton days, down to the coach knowing very well he doesn't have it in him to be able to start again and again if he plays the full 90.

I have never been a fan of his Cruyff turn, over elaborate and serves no purpose most of the time. When he started to play more direct, pressing and that is when he shine for Klopp. He is what we could classify as a luxury player.

That Cruyff turn he insists on doing is infuriating. It'll be interesting to see where he ends up. Obviously a decent player when fit but who would take a punt on his fitness?

Overall a very poor signing considering the fee at the time and the output.

He did have a purple patch where he was our best player for a few months but should have been cut loose a long time ago similar to how Studge should have been.

I am not going to miss him as he has been missing out to much. I like the player. Skilled and high energy level when fit. He liked to keep the ball at his feet to much for periods maybe, which made the movement around him wasted. But in the periods where he used 1 and 2 touches only he was really really good.

I guess part of the reason Klopp has kept him and trusted him is that his top level is very high, which help push the ones around him to new levels. But now others have been here, seen what it takes and is ready to be the new bars, hence it is ok to let him go. He will be picked up by others surely.

He's off to Bournemouth lads. We'll somehow still sell him for 10 mil to them even if he's out of contract
Only £10 million?
We have Michael Edwards doing our transfer business these days.
£10 million and a stick of Rock for everyone at LFC.
Lallama won't be missed hopefully unless by the medical staff.

I'm disappointed because he has a fun name to say out loud.

No one else has a name that's as fun to say as "Lallana".

/ secretly wishes François Mitterand was a footballer

Banana was signed for 25 million when 25 mill was a lot of money. That fee was isn't fault obviously but given his was wages (100lk plus), he wont be missed. He was decent for us at best, bar that a season an half.

To some of us 25 Mill pounds is still a wee bit of cash
