what happen's if carroll and suarez are out? Or go through a bad spell? We cant rely on Ngog and I am not sure Kuyt will be enough to push us to a top 4 finish. For too long we have not had more than 2 decent strikers on our books, all the other big teams have at least 2, some as many as 4. In light of dangers around carroll's fitness we need to prioritize a striker (at left back we have glenjo) as our next signing.

Ideally I would like us to go in for lukaku, offer them 12m, + ngog and jova. He would get games and has the right profile for our owners in terms of signing.

It's unrealistic to expect our third and fourth choices to be just as good as the first two. It's also impractical, because if they were equally good they'd expect an equal number of games. Deadly and Wash are good enough as stand-ins, Deadly especially so.

also morgan might get a go.

Exactly what i'm thinking, he should get a few pre-season games with the first team though if that was to happen.

I'd like to think were not as one dimensional as we used to be. I think Kuyt and N'gog are capable back ups. As long as Carroll and Suarez arent out together for extended periods of time, at the same time. I thought we were sniffing around a young Ivorian striker?

I'd sign Bellamy tbh. Pace, experience and can play in diffferent postitions. Knows where the goal is and would love another crack at playing for us. Would be happy as a squad player aswell.

What, Dirk "couldn't stop scoring at the end of last season" Kuyt, isn't good enough ?

They need to be different though. We lack real pace in reserve.

That's a good shout Hansern.

TBF, although he did have a knack of scoring in big games, he probably didn't get that many as a striker before last season (not for us anyway). The advent of Kenny and the signing of Suarez really perked him up though.
