Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has sent a transfer message to Liverpool wing wizard Ryan Babel.
The England international made a jovial suggestion to the flying Dutchman using his Twitter account, but Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is a known admirer of the Liverpool starlet.
"What's happening babel!!? When you gonna come to Arsenal haha," said Wilshere on the social media platform.
The Gunners have been linked with Babel in the past, with Wenger believing he can get the best out of the player at the Emirates stadium.
Babel has consistently struggled to hold down a starting place at Anfield, with both Rafael Benitez and Roy Hodgson using the Liverpool player in a bit-part role.
Arsenal are challenging for trophies on a number of fronts this season, and Wenger has bumper profits to play with should he wish to make a move for the player.
However, the Arsenal boss has insisted that he doesn't need to spend money in January, and could wait until the summer should he wish to make a move for the Anfield speedster.
Liverpool boss Hodgson is thought to be in the market for attacking options during the January transfer window, and could look to cash in on Babel in a bid to fund moves for an attacking foil for Fernando Torres.
Arsenal would have to pay a fee in the region of £8 million for the Liverpool player, although it remains uncertain that Liverpool would sell to a Premier League rival.
