Too early?

Just wanted to say that his latest performances have been encouraging.
Great cross today to win us the game. Looked lively and dangerous since he was thrown in.
I'm very happy with his response since the whole media mess.
 
Like I said on the thread the other day.. on the right, he actually looks a half decent player. Someone as one footed as he is shouldn't be played on the left.

Yeah, you're right. But Henry had been doing it for YEARS at youth level and at Monaco before making the transition to forward. Babel was going the other way, which didn't make sense. I think his attributes are a lot more suited to right wing. Comparing him to Henry is just unfair, but I don't see why he couldn't be as good as a Lennon or SWP on the right wing. It'd give us an extra dimension/option out there.
 
Could see his runs, speed, control but somehow the final ball is missing still. Glad he provided that one cross for the goal. Too many of his crosses and passes were wayward. Frustrating. He can only be an option coming off the bench for now.

Positives - The assist for the winner, better balance with him on right than left
Negatives - Struggles with ball control and has a tendancy to always make the wrong choice.

He did look much better, but one thing I will say is he got a bit lucky as he didn't look for the cross. He did one a minute earlier without looking which was wank, yet the second turned out great.

Has always looked better on the right and offered more than kuyt did in just 25 minutes of his playing time in terms of a being a threat and beating players.

Brilliant run and cross for the goal saved him. He needs to do this on a regular basis now.

I wouldn't get excited until we see him do it this for 4 or 5 games.
 
I've been advocating his chances on the right for a while, as it stops him from cutting inside every time. Has a decent cross on him when he uses his right foot. He has the pace and attributes to go past any left back.

Good sub apperance, and as Rafa said after his return from the Internationals he's been very good in training. Let's hope he continues.

For once, I sorta agree with you.

The only thing you got wrong was the "brilliant run and cross" bit. It was space well made by Johnson in the first place, and Torres made his cross looks good. He just chipped it into the fucking box.
