You missed the pm of Spudy asking me to "ass" him on msn messenger and him wanting to be bum buddies.

Spudgun, would you like me to tell everyone that it was you who sent me the PM demanding I stop calling Dreamy "dreamy" cos it's aking to calling me "Ryanny"?
Ha ha Ryanny is kinda funny.

Who is Spudgun?

Here you go dreamy:

Insua
Torres
Kelly
Agger
Skrtel
Lucas
N'gog
Insua has proved nothing bar the fact that he's very average at best so far. I would have thought Rafa would improve his positonal play but even that has been missing.

Kelly has played what 2 games? How can you judge him?

Agger has not improved one bit in fact I'd say he's gone back. His passing from defence was excellant when he signed. It's anything but now.

Skittles - Has not improved either.

Lucas - thats just laughable.

N'Gog - still looks as rough around the edges as he did in pre season.

And that leaves your magical list with Torres, who a world class player with a world class attitude and he was that way when he arrived. If anything Torres has proven how poor Rafa is in this department. If you are not 100% professional and a model pro you are almost certain to fail under Rafa's guidance as a young player.

Yuor going to disagree and fair enough if you think Rafa's abilty with young players is anywhere near that of Ferguson or Wenger.
Every one of those players is better now then when they first signed for us. We'd make a profit on everyone of them too.

Bang it.
So we would make a profit on Skittles and the new Darren Anderton.

Rightio.......

And you still owe me an apology.
We would make a profit on Agger and Skrtel.

It's true. We would.
We wouldn't make anything on Skrtel. He won't make the first team at any of the top 6 teams (+ Spurs & City). Me thinks he's a flop.

Nobody rates Skittles outside of Anfield and Agger is injured 90% of the time.

Who would pay more than what we did?

Lol, you had to bang on it, you do realize we'd make about as much profit on them as the market has changed. They were both very much unknowns and good business so they have a lot of potential to be excellent signings. But haven't improved much yet, stil young unproven internationals with very little to rest on there medal vest. And little real inflation price tag wise imo.

but Rafa ain't great at getting the best out of the youth. He's good at getting the best out of players in the prime. Gerrard, Alonso (fire under ass), Kuyt, Yossi, Riera (we'll see), Torres(mature and experienced for his age = i wonder about his longevity), Garcia

Riera £8m - Excellent

I would actually have agreed with most of what you rated but how Riera got an "Excellent" is utterly beyond me.

Hmmm...where to start with this one....

Crouch was a good signing...

You can tell San Jose is poor, but can't tell if El Zhar's any good, when Nabil has actually played in the first team and San Jose has not.

Why do you have /excellent beside Aqualani when he hasn't (really) played for us yet?

Riera was a better signing than Benayoun?

Pennant's signing was in the same batch as Kuyt's?

rafa's signings have been a mixed bad of poor, good and excellent. pretty much like every manager the difference is with the likes of chelsea those signings have heavily offset with outgoings. I think its safe to say if rafa were given 227m in one lump sum the signings would be different.

Who would you have played with Riera, Yossi, Torres, Gerrard, Aquilani, Aurelio, Dossena, Johnson and Degen injured for large parts of the season so far and mostly at the same time?
It is.

If we had any pace, attacking verve or creativity at the minute, I'd have no problem in sending him on his way. But seeing as we're playing uninspiring and depressing football, having someone on the bench who can offer a hint of directness and pace, I think, is a good thing.

It's not looking good for him year, but I still like to see him come on in the last 20 minutes.

He attracts more hostility than Voronin, which amazes me.

He's said the right thing, for once. But it's a bit rich someone who twitters inanely to the world and his wife every damn day to suddenly get sniffy over being quoted by the wrong paper. And if he thinks we'll believe that he's been misquoted every single time he's been away in Holland he must think we're all thicker than he is.

Personally I thought the goals against Lyon would do wonders for him. And he really looked lively against Citeh at home before eventually getting injured.

Hopefully he'll come back soon and show his true worth.

I didn't. It proved, yet again, he can twat the ball hard with the best of them. Unfortunately, when it comes to actually playing football, he still lacks the basic skills.

Zenden was poor and Riera on the other hand was excellent?

What did Bolo ever do wrong when he played here? He was Middlesbrough's player of the season when he joined us on a free transfer.

He was given a free role at Boro to play where he wanted, take every set-piece and stroll about at his own pace - which was minimal - because he was too slow to play on the wing anymore

So Benitez played him on the wing. And he was fucking shit, just like every other winger he has ever bought
