Wouldn't say the first of those 4 games meant nothing. Or the 2nd. By the 3rd it became less important. Now it doesn't matter.

Why is that acceptable? Conceding 2+ goals shouldn't be acceptable, ever. Let alone 4 times not the spin
Only Hansern would dress this up as out the norm and acceptable.

We were in the lead often but like against Spurs, at times hanging on later on. Way too open and midfield being completely passed through.

But it dosent matter does it? Klopp has one more game for us and then a new era starts.
Wheter or not its acceptable dosent change that it means fuck all.

We’re getting 3rd regardless and changes are coming.

Like I get in isolation this game is irrelevant. Conceding 2 against spurs, not ideal, but ok. Drawing at west ham, not great, as we scored 2 and that should see us out. Everton? Death knell on the season? No. That matters.

Standards shouldn't slip if we're chasing the title, going for 4th or comfortable. Awful mentality

Not sure subs made us worse.

Horrendous mistake by Macca and fluke of a goal gave them the third.

It’s those dumb mistakes that really cost us this season. Happened far too often
Wasn't Endo subbed?
I honestly believe Klopp wouldn't have made those subs if the title was on the line.

We have zero control. We don't know how to see games out.

Arsenal put people behind the ball and defend well as a team like Jose's Chelsea.

City keep the ball. And kill the game. Pass, pass, pass until an opponent gets impatient and runs out of position and creates a big opportunity for them to score.

We seem to be in between 2 mindsets. Having the ball and attacking a deep-lying defence. Or we're counter attacking and looking to score against a high line.

There's never an element of just control and passing the ball around, not trying to go for goal.

Under Klopp our style has worked before when we had efficient forwards (for the deep-lying defence). And incredible legs in midfield and explosive pace and efficient forwards up top (for the counter attacking moments).

Right now, we lack the forwards and the legs in midfield (when Mac and Endo play together).

Yeh it’s the mentality and attitude that I don’t like. I love Klopp to bits and always will, but the sooner Arne comes in the better. Can’t see many major signings as I’m sure the board will want to wait to see what he can do with the squad we have, so pre season is massive.
Should provide a kick up the backside for a lot of players as it’s a clean slate for everyone now.

I don't think we were that controlled when he was on the pitch. Endo has been shite since he came back from Asia games, it's like they sent over a crappy clone. The lack of control all over including Macca is asking for trouble, there is a feeling we have kind of thrown the momentum away since the Arse away game.

Of course not, but Villa looked like they had given up until we gifted them their second goal.

This team can’t control games and that’s the next step in its development.

Its pointless to try and analyze a meaningless game, but good luck to those that bother.

Someone start the Wolves match thread so we can cry and give Klopp a proper send off.

There is so much in this. We can’t keep the ball forward because we don’t have those up front that keep the opposition occupied or can keep the ball and they don’t have the ability to do the right thing at the right time.

Bringing Trent into midfield makes so much of a bigger gap at right back. That’s not an excuse because we had Bradley with chalk on his boots still being bypassed too. Which means we can’t control games because we are susceptible to that ball to the right. Which brings chaos to us where we used to be chaos to them.

Bringing in players that just don’t seem to make sense has hurt us beyond belief. Apart from Mac, have we made a decent signing over the last five windows?

I’ve lost what is Klopp’s identity for the last two seasons.

Maybe now is the right time for us to part ways.
