Australia beat China 2 - 0 with the Australian national hero, Tim Cahill scoring both goals. Mat Ryan also with the clean sheet. Made one or two saves but wasn't overly tested.

Had my my final game of the cup in Melbourne last night (7 of 7) and while the quality overall wasn't very high the entertainment was exceptional.

Not a bad return. Last nights game was end to end for the whole 90 mins and 30 mins extra time. Loads of chances just great goalkeeping and poor finishes kept it 0-0.

What a few weeks its been to be in Melbourne with the football and the tennis. I'm shattered.

Australia will get well beaten by Japan by the looks of things but at least they have gotten to the semi final.
