Our midfield has been shit all season. That's where we needed to strength, not buying gazillions of defenders.

i don't care what anyone says , rodgers has spent decent money that hasn't added anything to the starting team and either sits on the bench or is on loan. He's also signed players for positions i don't think were critical . I just hope that is because he couldn't get the quality he wanted in certain positions so strengthened others and in the next few windows it all comes together .
