Fabinho has been boss, as has Gini

Salah looks dangerous. Mane looks iffy and firmino has been fucking shite

Gomez and van dijk are beasty

They're gonna score soon though

Yep. I don't buy the idea that they can go up a gear second half. They're throwijg everything at us.
You are right...this is their typical 2nd half performance that i have seen from them in recent games. Their manager will have fuck all to tell...but Klopp will have loads of shit to tell our boys....Mane needs to get more in the game.

Gomez has been outstanding. Trent and Fabinho need to up their game

The midfield struggle a bit. I think Fab was the better one of them.... But more for his positioning than for actually doing a lot. Should have been 2 up by now. Fuck

Wow, that was a breathless half of football. We had a goal wrongly disallowed and Van Dijk should have scored on 2 occasions, but other than that Arsenal were better and had great chances of their own. The difference seems to be in midfield – I've not seen our midfield 3 bypassed so regularly this season, while the extra bite Torreira (and Xhaka too to his credit) provides for Arsenal so far is enough to stifle our creativity. Klopp's idea with Milner playing as LB half of the time to allow Robertson to run forward leaves Gini and Fabinho alone in the middle and so far they are struggling to pick up Arsenal players dropping into the pockets between the lines. Fabinho also seems to be under instructions to get forward as much as possible and that leaves Gini with too much to do – you would think we would have a numerical and physical advantage in midfield, but in fact we're losing the midfield battle. Klopp needs to have a quick rethink about the roles of our midfield 3.

I think Fabinho has been our best midfielder. I don’t know why you’re all on his back. There are about 5 of our players who’ve been worse than him.
Yep. He's lost possession twice .. both times with 2-3 players around him, otherwise a calming influence. Robbo is having a very good game too, as are Mo and VvD.

The coverage is doing my head in. Endless replays when the ball is still in play. That's what makes watching on TV rather than at the stadium so stressful - you can't see the action some of the time.
This seems to have gotten even worse this season. It drives me mad.

Fabinho is a monster.

Exactly what we needed in the middle of the pitch. back four have had a few icky moments but lacazette and Auba are both class. If we score first this finishes 0-3 or similar

Gomez was sat on his heels admiring Virgil' s header when it hit the post. If he'd followed it in he would have had a tap in

Individually, Salah has been the liveliest of our attackers, Firmino too isolated and struggling to string too many moves together and Mane frankly a bit disappointing – always a step too slow, although sometimes he's asked to do a lot. Milner seems a bit rusty as well.

It is a great advert for the Premier League. I'd prefer a pedestrian game in which we control the game and strangle the life out of them, but it is what it is. Lets get the win Red Men.

We seem to have lost far too many second balls, both up front, and in the midfield. They've just reacted a bit quicker than us at times. Lets hope that evens up.

Draw..lose this game and our title run is over.

Already looks like immediate change of positions in midfield – Gini at #6, Fabinho on the left and Milner on the right.

Fabinho and Milner switched sides, Milner now supporting TAA, Fabinho supporting Robertson. Smart move.

Actually it's 4-2-3-1: Milner on the RW, Fabinho and Gini double-pivot, Salah up front, Firmino #10. So it's a complete re-jig of formation. Perhaps anticipating Shaq coming on for Milner on RW.
