Arsenal post-match

I think Klopp's memory got reversed between first or second Arsenal goal. In both press-conferences he said that first goal was a set-piece and second was a counter-attack, when it was the other way around.

On a seperate note, that fucker Giroud is turning into a hell of a centre forward.

He dominated our (admittedly fucking hapless) centre back pairing all night. Strong, held it up, touch of arrogance, two goals - the second one just a striker on top of his game. He could win them the league this guy.

That's what a centre forward should be doing right there. He scores all types too, ugly fucking tap-in's, headers, screamers. He's a serious striker these days.

I can't stand the prick. He's a preening gobshite, but when he's not looking at his own reflection in his boots, he can be quite the player.

I suggested we sign him in 2011 when he was playing for Montpellier. I dislike him now that he is playing for Arsenal and seems a bit of a narcissistic cunt, but he is clearly a good player, especially in a form like this.

Good thing we don't play them again this season. With alexis sanchez returning from injury they will be firm favourites in their matches against other top sides.

Would Giroud have become the player he is atm if we had signed him? I doubt it.

He has had a number of very poor spells for Arsenal. They struggled to play to his strengths initially and it wasn't to dissimilar to our current situation with Benteke. He always looked to have more skill and technique than Benteke but it shows that patience, opportunity and stability can reap rewards. I'd imagine up until this season most managers that would have taken over from wenger would have '#replace Giroud' on the top of their list.

He's never scored more than 20 league goals in a season. He goes through very hot patches and very cold patches ... I think he has 9 goals in the last 9 games? Let's see how he does over the course of 38 games before anointing him the new Wonderman! 🙂

Based on arsenal's record, it won't be long they sell giroud to the highest bidder.

ozil's contribution from set-pieces has been a revelation for them this season.

It used to be of the general opinion that Giroud was holding Arsenal back. As in he wasn't good enough to carry them to a league title or the final stages of a CL. He has definitely improved and was great against us but I've always thought they needed another striker. Our CB's were indeed hapless in that game. I'm not trying to diminish Giroud's performance but it's a caveat that definitely needs to be applied.

Nah, he's boss. He got injured start of last season and was out for ages and took a while to get fit, but since the start of 2015 he's been pretty damn great.

Is it too much of a stretch to imagineit is withing Ings' reach to become hust as good.

I really like both Ings and Divock.. .

Can vs Arsenal:

By the way - look at the high cross floated in by Milner at the touchline, at the 2:50 mark. That sort of ball is what Benteke likes.
