Rodgers interview summary. Outstanding at home this season. Great game, two possession sides.

Stevie in the same position, playmaker from behind. Instigating attacks from deep. Great confidence & belief, respect Arsenal though, but don't worry about them & get things right ourself.

Win today and we have a good chance of finishing third.
Lose and that champions league spot could elude us

It smacks of a "we will score more goals than you will" mentality

That's what we've done all season long, whether it works against a side with a good defence is the problem. Often it doesn't.

But what other choice do we have at the minute given the defence we have

I'd argue the defence is a by product of that style of play, not the reverse.

Rodgers has basically sacrificed the stability to make the most of our greatest assets.

It is very evenly matched.
Our attack shades theirs while their defense is stronger.

Pre-game Interviews (distilled) :

Wenger : Dominate possession and cut supply to Countinho & Gerrard

Rodgers : Possession and Garrard as Deep-laying Playmaker

I do agree, but I think if we has a first choice defence out there we could consider shutting up shop.

I don't think thats a possibility with todays back four and Gerrard in front of them

Delicious in swinger from Gerrard on the left, undefendable, Sturridge gets something on it, it then deflects in a point blank range off of Skrtels thigh.
