Yeah - but you actually need a decent manager that knows how to use the player - seems that none of Utd’s previous managers had much a of a clue and Ten Hags has plenty of other issues to solve.

So yes it is an exception to have our academy players making the Liverpool squad for a season or more, unless you count those who play in Carabao or FA cup Games.

And yes when you count how many do not make it vs those who do it is the definition of the word exception
