Ok the topic may be exaggerated, but seeing that we have our fair share of Hungarians, the thought of our team being represented by a few Hungarians in a few more years (in the form of Nemeth, Gulacsi et all), begs the question.

And then there's this article from http://fourfourtwo.com/news/england/40903/default.aspx:

Liverpool are monitoring the progress of Sampdoria midfielder Vladimir Koman, according to reports.

The 20-year-old Hungarian has made just four league appearances for the Serie A side since graduating from the Genoa outfit's youth ranks.

However, he has gained recognition following loan spells at both Avellino and Bari.

And the youngster recently caught the eye of scouts at the U20 World Cup, scoring five goals in six outings as Hungary finished third following a semi-final defeat to eventual winners Ghana in Egypt.

As a result, speculation has surfaced in the Mirror linking the starlet with a move to Liverpool.

The Merseysiders have signed several talented Hungarian youngsters in the past, including strikers Krisztian Nemeth and Andras Simon - currently on loan at AEK Athens and Cordoba respectively - and goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi, who was loaned out to Hereford United last season before going on to save three penalties in the U20 World Cup Third Place Play-off against Costa Rica.

From the reviews read, Koman seems to be the only player who shined for Hungary besides Nemeth. Has anyone watched him play yet?

is the future?

The kid's brilliant!

I saw him at the WYC where they came third and for me he was the best player in the tournament. I kept wondering why we hadn't signed him along with our Hungarian trio. His range of passing, vision, shooting and skill is very good. I hope this story is true and not someone just trying to sell papers.

I'm not hungry for Hungarians Dee. No, I don't want their whole squad, just Vladimir Koman in addition to the guys we already have (we might even decide to let Simon go, he's the one I've been least impressed with amongst them). Here's a link to the Hungary v Italy game from that tournament.

Italy U20 - Hungary U20 ALL GOALS & HIGHLIGHTS

Check out his pass to Nemeth for their 2nd goal.
