Rooneys what? 24 - so he's potentially got another what 8-9 years of decent football left in him?

I suppose he could just about do it, fitness permitting.

Yes - 25 in October.

It's taken him seven years to get to 60, i suppose he should do it, barring lengthy spells out.

Ashley Cole anyone?

Could be. The fact that he's 30 would suggest not, but the lack of competition for his position means he's got a chance IMO.

Shame isn't it?

Rooney should pass one hundred caps I would have thought.

He's got a fairly decent record for injuries so far in his career, and his game is about intelligence, technical brilliance and strength, and not just pace and finishing, like Owen for example. So even when his pace goes he will be able to offer something to the international set up.
