Thought I'd start a thread for you posters who don't "believe the hype" so to speak.
Who don't believe that we'll address our squad issues sufficiently this summer and that we won't be challenging for anything next season.

Basically this is a thread for all you doom and gloom mongerers out there.

I'll start:

* We won't attract any top players in the summer. No Hazard, Sanchez, Mvila, Coentrao, Lavezzi, Cahill, Young etc.

* There's gonna be a bidding war for Charlie Adam that we'll probably win but we'll also pay a hefty sum for him and it's not gonna be worth it in the end cause he's just an average version of Alonso.

* Marveux will join and get injured almost instantly.

* Our starting line up next season:

Reina

Kelly Carragher Agger Johnson

Lucas Gerrard
Meireles
Kuyt Suarez
Carroll

Basically the same line up we have now if everyone's fit.

* Young will join Man U.

* Cahill will join Arsenal

* We'll get raped in the transfer-market when we try to offload our dross like Maxi, Jones, Konchesky etc.

* Carroll and Suarez will be the worst striker partnership we've ever had. Sorry I mean since Hodgson played a 442 with Torres-Ngog.
 
The last point is just ridiculous, frankly, but the rest seems depressingly plausible.

I'd like Ashley Young here.

Regarding the last bit, just wanted to start some controversy but to be honest there's some truth in it.
I don't believe it'll be the worst but from what I've seen Carroll seems to lack the ability to be able to link up with Suarez.
The only thing I've been impressed with so far is Carroll's aerial ability. His passing, ability the hold the ball and technique is average to say the least.
I predict that we'll see more hissy-fits from Suarez in the future.

I hate to say it but Torres was IMO the perfect partner for Suarez.

You most certainly don't remember when we played with Crouch and Morientes up front?

Uuugghhh,

flash back. I had successfully blocked that out of my mind. Reading the team published team sheet that day was enough to make my eyes bleed. I think Brendan went on a rant for about an hour.
