Lets not get carried away.

We beat the worst team in the league by a mile.

Splitting hairs here but they're not.

They've also beaten citeh and Chelsea at home, so it certainly isn't the easiest place to visit.

Lets not get carried away.

We beat the worst team in the league by a mile.

Let's win our next 2 home games before we get excited.

Having said that yesterday was as happy as I've been since we won the CL semi in 07.
[/quote]Could you point out the post where someone was getting carried away?
Your becoming worse than Brendan for creating a point that isnt there in order to counter it.
That aside they aint the worst team in the league AND they beat us at Anfield 3 weeks ago. Defeat at home to 3-0 away victory in three weeks.
Tastes ok to me..........oh wait.....i better calm down!! Im out of control!

Gutted but excited about our changes for a return to the top 4

Jesus you’d swear we just got spanked 6-0 the way some of you are carrying on.
When the fixtures came in we all knew we had a horrible start on our hands. Yes we all hoped for more out of the 3 big games. But realistically it was always going to be a mountain to climb with a new manager new player and a half fit Torres.
We have played 10 games under Roy with only 1 game with our best 11. We have lost 2 (away to Utd and City) drawn 2 (Arsenal and away to Brum who have an amazing home record) and won 6.
By no means is this all doom and gloom. Some say they want positives? How about this?
Yesterday was the first time in 6 years we passed the ball around at OT. No hoof ball no disjointed MF. We lacked a cutting edge with only 1 up front but hopefully Roy saw the difference in having 2 up front even if N’gog offered little he at least created space for Torres by occupying a defender. Yesterday was the first time in 3 years it looks clear that Lucas will only be a squad player from now on. How fantastic is that? Poulsen looked like a half decent footballer yesterday, made some great tackles around the box and passed the ball well.
Raul looks a cut above the shit we are used to and was a hairs length away from making it 3-2.
Cole looked threatening the entire game. I really cannot see why everyone is so doom and gloom. This place stinks of naivety. With this set up we will beat a lot of teams this year. We played some good football yesterday against one of the best teams in the league. We fought back from 2-0 down when nobody gave us a chance. We gave them a hell of a scare and could easily have got something out of the game. We need to drop Maxi for sure. But Babel, N’Gog or Kuyt will easily add to the team instead of him. Make that change and I’d be very happy with our team.
We look like a footballing side again for the first time in years. The results will come and we will get 4th.
I guarantee when we look at the table in 3 months we’ll be nestled in the top 4. Positive signs? Of course there are.
And that’s not even mentioning the exciting youth prospects.

Being told to calm down by the person who gave us this gem has me really optimistic for the rest of the season

I definetly think theres a big difference in mood, Kenny has bought back the excitement of watching LFc again, the anticipation of a match day without caring for the fact we are so far off the top 4 points wise. I guess it has bought back the basics of if being a footy fan again and most of all Torres looks like the player I remember. It maybe a false dawn but then unlike under Roy I'm excited again to find out. Also, pre match and post match conf are worth listening again.

I agree with oncy on this, I mentioned in the match thread I am happy with our progress it's slow but wins like yesterday will help even if they are against shit like wolves.
The feel good factor will continue to grow under a winning team and a winning manager. It will grow throughout everyone associated with lfc fans, coaches players staff etc.
I felt we looked better v Blackpool but bottled it towards the end, as mentioned kenny is not a miracle worker he needs more than a few days to get the players to play how he wants. Yesterday there were a few massive mistakes but the passing passion etc was good to see.
Re nesv they will also take things slowly but I hope they will get us there, they won't spend millions on a quick fix which is a gamble for them but I hope they will put the money in when needed

I'm confident they will (they haven't invested £300 mill.just to piddle it away), but I don't want an avalanche of money coming at us all at once anyway. When the new regs kick in, clubs which have been going that route in the meantime will have to make some very hard choices, which may well set them back for a while.
