British magazine World Soccer published the best XI of all time, with votes coming from journalists and former pros.

A range of different nationalities are included with Lionel Messi the only player in the XI still playing today. Aged only 26, that is some feat.

Franz Beckenbauer received the most votes, closely followed by Diego Maradona and Pele.
