Soooo... No thread?

A must-win, potential banana skin.

Midfield is the only query for me. Though with Porto midweek I'd rest one of the front 3.I'm scared Klopp will rotate too much and being in Moreno, in which case we dont win.

Lovren has a tendency to play more erratically than normal against Southampton. I'd prefer Matip to start
 
I'd set a minimum target of two simulations per player per half, and pick Milner so he can take the inevitable penalty. Then in the post-match conference I'd be smiling from ear to ear, like that Christian Bale gif.

Lallana is available. His sending off, and ban, for the U23s not applicable to PL matches. Klopp Said he won't start but likely be on the bench.
 
With Porto in mind. We obviously can't go overboard with wholesale changes though - even if injuries permitted it.

Firmino and Can rested because they looked fucked against Spurs, Robertson & Lovren also get rested for Porto. Klavan and Gomez injured.

Relying on the front three to make it happen otherwise that MF is going to kill us. Still think we can shade it 1-2 with Ings getting off the mark and Mane at last getting back on the scoresheet. Moreno to fuck up and hack someone down in the box for their goal.
 
Klopp said in his presser that the Porto game wont effect his team selection.

As long as we dont start Moreno, I'm happy.
 
Perhaps Klopp will take VVD out of the firing line and start with Matip and Lovren.

We don't have the luxury of rotating in games like these. We lack the depth.
 
For this game the best result for us is that arsenal draw with spurs. I have no faith we will win or draw this. So expecting us to lose this game regardless of who plays.
 
So Klopp is keeping Hendo back for Porto and VvD definitely plays.

That means a midfield from Milner, Can, Wijnaldum and Lallana. Guess it will be the first three.
 
Couple of injuries and we suddenly look short, add that Hendo and Lallana are both only just back from injury, we're thin as fuck.

I wonder if Woodburn gets a shot any time soon. I'd agree with the team above in that we sadly need to start resting one of front 3 per game for a bit.

I'd like to see him rotated in for Mane/Salah or even given some Coutinho-esque licence in the midfield three.

I think Woodburn could be an excellent player. He's nowhere near that yet.

Ings can & has scored goals in this league & has a great workrate too, he's the closest thing we have to a Firmino replacement so we have to get him playing some games & up to speed in case we are without Firmino for a while at some point.

I still think the most likely solution to our squad depth issues is switching to a 442 diamond when we want to rest one of the front three though.

I understand that you don't rate him but it's such a shit/cuntish/boring mixture of words that you simply look like the fool and frankly if I would have come up with that - I'd be embarrassed. Any team with Solanke in it is shit. But the rest of that side won’t be far off.
