Most of us thought we'd get £6-8m for him.

Looks like we'll make some profit on this lad ... or at least we should!

Not me, my valuation on him was £12m. You guys laugh at my valuations, but I think I am right and some times even conservative with my appraisals.

I think it's reasonable to expect about £15m for Moreno. He's young, quick and exciting.

He's not the greatest defender ever

I can never forgive him for his awful blunder at the start of the second half of Liverpool's Europa League Final against Sevilla. Everything had been going swimmingly up to that moment.

The new wave of 3-4-3 football happening should work in his favour. He's an infinitely better wing back than left back.

Even in a Rafa Benitez style 4-4-1-1 / 4-2-3-1 sort of thing he might have become a decent left winger. Unfortunately for him we don't play that way.

Still think he's going to make a pretty decent left winger or left wing back at his next club, which is why the price might be a little inflated.

How on earth can we turn down 11mill for him?! Pretty ballsy, if we think they're coming back with more. Do they play 3 CB's? He'd probably better suited that that - as he can't defend for shit in a 442.

He wants a return to Spain according to the journos. Seems as there is a lot of interest in him. Not sure why to be honest.

11 mill £. Would have taken that all day long.

He's not half as bad as folk make out. Stick him in a wing-back position with a solid back 3 behind him and he'd be very good indeed.

We'll get at least 15m for him in this market and so we should.

True, but the devil is in the details. Is it 11 million confirmed money or is it 5 million + 6 million contingent on trophies plus appearances. My guess is we may accept 11 or 12 million if the majority of the bid is confirmed money.

He actually is. Unless he undergoes terrigenesis and develops some defensive powers, I just dont see him developing into a decent left back or full back. He is too poor defensively and offensively he is not that good to make up for his defensive lapses.

Agreed. Knowing Napolis president it was structured in some way that we just couldnt accept.

The guy is woeful.

Di Marzio seem to think a swap deal could be on the cards with Moreno going to Napoli and Ghoulam coming to us.

You mean after being sacked as Sunderland manager he is reinventing himself as a left back?

You dont have to play at left back to be a left back, but he is a left back.

In the case of Milner, you don't have to be a left back to play at left back. You just need to be not Moreno.

Pound for pound, the worst actual footballer we've ever signed. He is utterly fucking dreadful.

Sell the cunt for a bag of magic beans.

Markovic, Carroll, Diouf, Balotelli, Aquilani, Downing......the list is quite long.

And that's making some attempt to bring the amount of money paid into the equation, too.

I was particularly disappointed about Downing, because he had looked like a good signing. He had been very effective on the wing for Aston Villa.

When he came to Anfield, he seemed to lose motivation. He stopped taking on defenders and his crosses had become poor.

Mid-season, his form seemed to improve and a journalist asked him about this. He said that Mr. Rodgers had spoken to him and said he should try harder, and that was why his form had got better.
