1455 BST: Atletico Madrid say the club will now listen to "interesting offers" for star forward Sergio Aguero. Argentine Aguero has been linked with both Chelsea and Manchester United. (French radio station RMC)

Hope it's not Man utd...

Sounds like A.Madrid fancy a bit of the cash that's flying about at the moment.

They did quite well, ultimately, out of the Torres sale, so maybe.

I wouldn't mind if he went to United - they've already got Rooney, who's very similar. As long as they don't get Ribery and Eto'o/Villa, I'll be quite relieved.

I read there were two stumbling blocks for that deal - firstly they wanted the release clause met (summat like 50+mill), and secondly he had asked for silly money wages?

He's a very good player. Suppose i'd rather he went to the chelski. And hopefully get ruined.

You reckon? Circa £20, just two years ago, for the best striker in the world? At the grand old age of 23?

he wasn't the best striker in the world when they sold him.

I think we can saely rule ourselves out of any running for Aguero.

As regards Torres, we paid a fair price at the time. However, his form since joining us has basically trebled his value.

We got him relatively cheap. There's no denying it. 😉

We should have bought Aguero when we had the chance. He's gonna cost £50m. Be gutted to see him go to the Mancs or Chelsea. Hopefully Atletico will hold on to him.

we will only end up embarrassing ourselves if we get involved.

Why what do you think would happen skully?

Hmmm, but the fucking ace man management and guidance of Rafa, in 9 short months, suddenly made him just that?

He WAS the best forward in the world when we bought him, it's just that no-one realised it!

I didn't mean that. I just meant that, before that, they were struggling in seventh or eighth - now they're in the Champions League. Selling their best player has worked out OK for them, so I can see why they might want to do it again.

Just how good is this lad? I have heard a lot, but not watched athletico madrid much this season. For anyone in the know it would be good to have an opinion on him? Is he in the same bracket at Torres, Messi, Ronaldo?

He'll go to Chelsea.

Thsi is based on absolutely nothing btw.

I wouldn't let that bother your Ryan. I hate the summer. Apart from my hols and getting to play more golf of course.

Do you play golf regularly Ryan?

Sorry, let me put that another way, do you think you play more or less golf than Real Madrid's world-record signing Christiano Ronaldo?

Well, I've been playing for about 18 years but these days I'm a seasonal golfer really.

I don't get the time or the chance to play during our football season to be honest, so it's usually the summer months when I get out most often. About 2/3 times a week then usually.

I took some lessons again recently and the guy totally changed my backswing and I've just not got used to it. It's done me more harm than good really.

You?

Not as much as I'd like to, but it's about once a week at the minute. I couldn't play for two years after my back op so I'm really enjoying it now. I had a few lessons about five years ago and you're right, the coach makes a minor change and you feel like you've been given a hand transplant.

Now, back to Ronaldo and Madrid...
