Yeah fair point. Maybe I'm still raging over the Athletico mistakes. Imagine a CL and League double last year
He knew what was coming, and he knew we wouldn't enjoy a CL win behind closed doors (imagine a final without a hundred thousand pissed up reds in the city), so he deliberately threw that match.

Thank you Adrian

Through no fault of Adrian's he had to play a good few more games, especially high profile games, than a stand-in would normally be expected to play. It could be argued that a stand-in at LFC should be good enough to do better in some of those games, but frankly I'm far from sure that's realistic. Adrian did his best and at times that best was good enough to help us win things. He has my gratitude and best wishes for the future.

Karius played a whole season as our first team keeper and does not even have half as many bloopers as Adrian who only plays occasionally.

Adrian, in all honesty, has been terrible.

Played half a season in goal as Klopp rotated that season. 19 league games, I think he played all the Champions League... and we all know how that ended for him and us.

Adrian, though shit, has performed heroics on occasion and made some great, important saves. I can't remember Karius doing that. I can't even remember him making a save, to be honest.

All I remember are the howlers against Madrid, a howler against Bournemouth which cost us the match, the howlers against Tranmere in pre-season, somehow kicking a goal kick out for a corner, a howler against Roma that we luckily got away with as it hit the bar... and he was still making unfathomable howlers in Turkey every week until they refused to pay him and take him there. Now he can't even get a game for Union Berlin.

Make no mistake, they're both shit, but never misremember the colossal shitness of Karius.
