Charlie Nicholas and Frank Worthington.

Frank Worthington would have been superb, Shanks was a huge fan. Unfortunately he failed his medical and the deal fell through.
But the failed medical was because he had the clap - allegedly.

I remember us being linked to Davie MacPherson... as a replacement for Alan Hansen.
I think we just went ahead and signed all ther shit keepers we were linked with.

David Weir was seriously linked too at one stage. But he's not the worst really. Just a hun cunt.
We were also in for Alan Stubbs at the same as went for McAteer from Bolton.
Stubbs was OK. And we had Phil Badd and Razor at the time.
I don't think there is any topping Coloccini & Boumsong. Two of the worst players I've seen in the Prem. Both Newcastle as well which is a coincidence because Warren Barton was equally inept (altho I don't know if we were ever linked with him). Their all time worst team is probably full of players from the last few years. And Mirandinha (remember him?).
