Jordan Amavi from Nice (Ligue 1). Caught my attention as I saw he led the league's defenders in interceptions (157) - the next 6 guys in that category were all centrebacks and more experienced guys. Turns out he also led all defenders in the top 5 leagues in Europe for that category.
I'm not sure how significant that stat is - I think it probably suggests something about his ability to cut out passes and crosses. Moreno has 31, which kind of jives in with the ease with which opponents swing crosses into our box. Too bad there isn't any stat that measures positioning... like average distance to attacker in space behind you or something. ;D
