Hendo's been brilliant, but it's criminal how often he's missed all those goal scoring opportunities. It has to be a mental weakness, the same way he couldn't handle playing for Liverpool at the beginning of his career with us (throwing up before games, going anonymous, etc).
He has the technique to easily score from all those missed opportunities. Let's hope the psychologist can work some more magic with him.
Gerrard's scored some absolutely vital penalty kicks under huge pressure and created a ton of chances from deep. Easily gets ahead of Hendo for me.

As said, Henderson has had a good season but some of his misses have been horrible.

I love his work rate and we do need it but to be ahead of Gerrard you're going to need to do more than just work. I know he's scored but he's got a fair way to go to be outperforming Gerrard.


I like Henderson and he does a lot more than just provide work rate. However, for him to get ahead of Gerrard he's going to need to add a fair amount of polish to that work rate.
