He seems a very cool customer.

Liverpool chief executive Christian Purslow was ridiculed at his first Premier League summit for speaking so strongly against accepting the recommendation of League boss Richard Scudamore to sign title sponsors Barclays' three-year renewal offer of £72m, which was turned down.

Barclays' revised £82.25m contract, agreed yesterday, proved City financier Purslow spectacularly right.

And he was very gracious when it was suggested he should take credit for that.

And, no, I'm not in love with him.

and moores helped create the premiership.

having said all that i also thought he presented himself really well and am looking forward to seeing him in action. at least he doesn't seem like the type to be on holiday during the transfer window
And this is relevant because...?
so how is generating an extra 10 million for the premiership any more relevant?
Because it's in the report that gkmacca linked.

It demonstrates his business accumen somewhat.
and my point demonstrated moores' alleged business acumen.

Liverpool fans assured over new investors, Benitez

LIVERPOOL, England (AP) -Liverpool managing director Christian Purslow says the club will have new investors within six months and that manager Rafa Benitez's job is not under threat.

Purslow was speaking Sunday ahead of the match against Manchester United with Liverpool looking to avoid a fifth straight loss.

Purslow says "some extremely wealthy and expert investors'' have expressed an interest in the 18-time English champions since co-owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett Jr. went public last month with their search for new equity.

Despite the recent poor run of results in the Champions League and Premier League, Purslow says Benitez is "absolutely central'' to Liverpool's long-term plans.
