In light of our return to our regular place in English footy, and how nasty this place will get, I'm going to try and smile as I remember how much fun footy was last year. We had the greatest talents in our illustrious history leading the line, and taking us from years of mediocrity to ...

I don't want to watch it ... it'll just make me even more depressed over what we've become.

Another thinly veiled 'we are nothing without Suarez' type thread, dont really understand this mentality. Yes he was our best player but I supported Liverpool long before he arrived and I'll be supporting them long after he gets bombed out of Barca for making Balotelli look like a shrewd piece of business. We are playing shite at the moment but Id rather support the team we have rather than spend my time pining for a player who couldnt wait to get out the door.

Not really - look how miserablet he place is, and that's not a healthy way to live life ... If you want, I can post a clip of Studge too ...

Last two points -
1) He's actually the reason Messi is scoring freely (he's taken a central role and his movement has opened everything up for him). However, I hope they move him on at a loss, as they did with Zlatan, and to us ...
2) For me, he was the first player since Fowler who made me 'love' footy again ... Granted, I loved Owen and Torres, but he just came off like a kid doing what he loves best out there (minus the naughty stuff). Sure, I'll support Liverpool but something about being a fan (another thread I guess) changes as I get older, and players like him 'turn back' time which is great ...

I disagree with your first point however the second Id say is fair. On a personal level I never liked Suarez so hes departure wasnt as gut wrenching for me as it was for so many others. With Fowler Owen and Torres etc it was clear we had seen the best of them before they moved but Im not convinced the same will not turn out to be true of Luis in the long run, he will get 2 years at Barca given the money the have spent but I cant see it working out for him in a team where hes 3rd in the pecking order and if Madrid beat them to the title this season which I believe they will then he may fast become a scapegoat.

My main gripe with the post is that we had a great season last season, players chipping in with goals from everywhere, but instead of a video highlighting our great team play to cheer us up we get a video of one great player who no longer happens to be at the club. It feels like like a cheap shot in disguise. Maybe thats unfair but given the general negativity surrounding the club right now I would think a Suarez vid would be the last thing likely to act as a pick me up.

I can see where you're coming from ... As a peace offering:

Have to say the Everton game last season was probably my favourite, felt like we were unstoppable at the time

I know there was a not so insignificant group of boarders that wanted him gone but surely they've been dealt enough of a "told you so" by now?

I don't think you're ever going to get the reaction you're after.

I'd rather you make a thread about a successful season. This thread just makes me angry.

There are different ways of looking at it. Last season we played the best football i've ever witnessed. Yes, it really should have resulted in us winning the league but some of those games are ones I will always remember. Big love to the boys for those performances.

The Arsenal game was my favourite. We mullered them and treated them like our bitch. It was then i started believing it could be our year.
