I wonder. At his best Cahill is a very good player. He made one of the most assured debuts I can remember from an England centre-back, and I don't set too much store by his dip in form at Bolton, a struggling side in which he's been under constant pressure to play opposing teams almost single-handed. The biggest question for me is whether Abramovich will continue to back Feather Boa, financially and otherwise, while he remodels the Chavs' style into the way he wants it, because I don't think that'll succeed without further investment, but I certainly wouldn't write Cahill off yet awhile.
