Unfortunately City's crazy good run means the league is gone for this season but you cannot be anything but impressed and delighted with our current undefeated run.

18 games unbeaten.

13 wins and 5 draws.

14 unbeaten in the league.

10 wins and 4 draws.

It's surpassed Klopps best run of 15 games unbeaten across all competitions.

It's also getting close to our title run in 13/14 which was

9 games unbeaten.

9 wins in a row.

16 unbeaten in the league.

14 wins and 2 draws.

So how long can we stay undefeated?

Get a keeper and another CB in the summer and we will be set for an exceptional year next year if we can hold onto everyone.

Winning the CL will help 😉

Kudos to Klopp as after Spurs thumping he changed things up and has gotten the best out of the squad, improved every player and managed rotation well (Everton aside)

This place had gone into meltdown after Spurs, how things have changed.

We beat man City 4-3 and this thread comes up two days later?

Every silver lining has a cloud for you, doesn't it?

What are you on about?

It's a great run and I personally think we can remain undefeated so ya whatever.

I'm curious to see what others think.

As stated many times I've put my money where my mouth is and backed us to win the CL so no clouds here.

Next game - Swansea, would be very Liverpool.

We haven't done that in a while and I honestly think we have too much fire power and recovery time at the moment.

Our big threat will be an away game 3 days after an away CL fixture

Seriously someone pls ban DB until at least after the season ends please ???

If we lose the next game it’s all on you mods.

I almost voted "Fuck off you jinxy bastard" but took exception to the word bastard which, in my eyes is a bit uncley - as in uncle Brian's a daft bastard. Had Fuck off you jinxy twat been an option I'd have given it much more serious contemplation. Not that I think the OP was written by a twat - I don't know him or her - but twat is much less uncley and more befitting a jinxer. I ended up going for: A random shit league team.

Or maybe just "Fuck of you twat"

We've done brilliantly, and as per when we have a mammoth season, we're undone by a team that just ends up being World Class.

We had a midfield of Gerrard, Alonso and Mascherano, with Torres spearheading the team. Yet we lost out to a United that had Rooney, Ronaldo and Tevez.

Shit happens. It's a shame but it's shows how competitive this league is.

The main thing is that our flaws are starting to be addressed. Robertson and VVD go some way to fixing our defensive woes and if we can add three more defensive reinforcements between now and the Summer, to address our lack of spine in defense and midfield, then we're nearly there. Assuming we don't lose any more key players that is.

And it goes without saying that we're probably second to only City in terms of effectiveness in attack. And that's in a league where you have a fairly prolific United who are adding Sanchez and a Spurs side with possibly the best current striker in Europe.

So to be competitive, effective AND entertaining in a league this strong, we and Klopp particularly should be commended for it, even though we've just stupidly lost Coutinho, we're heading in the right direction.

The main "worry" is if we can keep up this attacking ability without Coutinho. We did it for one game, but looked fairly toothless against Everton. If we lose one attacker it could be a big issue, but it's all ifs and buts. We're not far off, regardless.
