There were far, far better players than him here in the past 35 years.

Think of someone who you view as totally overated. Now if you didn;t form your own opinion on this player and just trusted the media and other opinions then you wouldn't know any better. There are so many players like this - For me Cantona is a perfect example of this.

Not that i'm saying Pele was bad - this was just to illustrate my point.

However what i have heard he's having difficulty getting on the UEFA board alright. Apparently he finds it impossible to get an election.

you maybe can't trust videos or highlights but you can trust your dad's opinion (sometimes LOL! :wink: ) he has seen the greats and he still says pelé is the best ever. I've seen maradonna but not pelé my dad has seen both.

if my dad had seen liddell and said he was more skillfull then barnes then I'd believe him.

as much as i love those 3 players, there's NO WAY they've 'shaken the kop' as much as kenny or digger or rushie did ... heck, i'm still a tad bit amazed that souness and crazy horse aren't in teh top 5 (i mean i understand but are our fans that unattached to the club's rich history?)

Maybe there should have implemented an "age multiplier" so that one vote for an older player would count as more that one vote for a current player. Or something like that...
