Rumours circling the net that we also tried to sign a winger.

Twitter has suddenly come alive with the news that Liverpool have made a last minute desperate bid for Young.

Ashley Young. #LFC’s bid is £3m off what Villa are prepared to let him go for.
£16m bid currently. No more info than that.
But hardly the only source or rumour currently around, got to be total BOLLOCKS after what Houllier said ??

Apparently Dalglish wants Downing while Comolli is more interested in Young. However Young has no interest in moving north.

Basically we need to sign a winger during the summer. We don't have any pace on the wings, well except for Johnson.

I wanted young. just an old fashioned winger to take the ball down the wing and cross. so simple but we have maybe two players in the entire playing staff with the ability to do it.

Since we bought carroll we can hardly buy N'Zog - the Geordies had two bids for N'Zog turned down allegedly.

McDermott, Kennedy, Beardsley Hamann etc.

I've been a big fan of Jarvis ever since his Gillingham days but he's not good enough for what we're trying to achieve.
 
matt jarvis is just good enough as a squad player, he's just like matthew etherington, kieron richardon kinda players.
 
There was a rumour that we've sounded out Hazard this summer, there was even a price mentioned at 24 mill £.

Hopefully it's true, cause he would improve so fucking much it hurts thinking about it.

He's a midget, wonder if he can cut it in the premier league. He needs to bulk up as well.

I wouldn't be so sure, there have been some rumors from people ITK about serious interest from our part. It might just be the best possible career move for him too, as we are the only big club in England that can offer him a pretty much guaranteed place in the first XI. I recall him saying in an interview he isn't going to a mega club just to sit on the bench.

He's short but he's not slight. He's reasonably well-built and has explosive pace. I wouldn't worry at all.

Though I would rather have Douglas Costa.

Never seen him played before, dunno how good/shit he is.

But if he was supposed to be a 'hodgson signing' then I think we should stay out of it.
