Torres gone. Scum gone to more scum

The panic buy was probably Carroll, not Suarez.

I'm pretty sure Suarez was meant to partner and not replace Torres.

To be honest, I'm still not too happy with that one even though I think he's a good player.

I think he's going to struggle to live up to that price tag, though I really really hope that isnt the case.

I couldnt believe the 35 million wasnt used to get maybe one very good (though not top) striker to partner Suarez and one DM / winger.

We'll probably need to fix both the DM and winger problem in summer anyway.

I think inside, he's hurting. First he lashed out. Now he's analysing and justifying. I'm sure he will move on mentally pretty quickly, but maybe when/if that Sweet Carroll 9 song is in full swing he's going to be looking at his 'ex-girlfriend' again with some regret.

Diddums.

They played that song after the game on Saturday.

Think it's definitely getting an airing when Carroll starts.

As for Cunto; I only wish he'd wanted to fuck off to Citeh last year and given us 70 million
Wouldn't that have gone to H&G mate?

Yeah, guess it would have...

50 million on 2 players is definitely better than 70 million in their pockets, true enough.

WHat's the verdict on Talkshit,Raf?

Dud or no dud

Neil why did suarez not actually sign until nando had gone?
I've thought about that myself but that deal (suarez) could have been done and dusted and purposely held back.

Apart from Goughie and a few chav fans most are saying he's a "dud" mate. They had Trevor Francis on, and he thinks that his best days are already past him due to his injuries.

You get a lot of planks calling in, but it's still quite fun listening about El Judas's struggles since he got his dream move.

I wouldn't describe Carroll as a panic buy. It was the deal we had to do if we were to be able to sell Torres for the fabulous price of £50m bearing in mind he is a semi-crock with a dubious temperament. We paid slightly through the nose for Carroll so that Chelsea could pay massively through the nose for Torres.

£35m was a high price because Carroll has not got a very long track record at top level. I think he may turn out to be a bargain in the end.

I'm not sure if he'll prove to be a bargain Ports, but I do think he's a good player.

So I'm not THAT fussed about the amount.

But it's hard to argue that it wasnt a panic buy considering it had to be done very very quickly once Cunto fucked us over.

The time frame we found ourselves in meant we probably had to buy English, and Carroll was probably the best pick of the lot and was massively overpriced the way any other English striker would have been had we enquired.

Had Cunto given proper warning I think we could have utilised that money more effectively with say Benzema at 23 million and Defour at maybe 15 million.

Or something like that.

Can't be helped; and I do think Carroll will be great for us.

Sorry for the hijack, all...

It's all Neil's fault thinking Suarez was Torres' replacement. ;D

We paid over the odds for Carroll. He is the English Drogba or so to speak.

However, that investment will be well worth it when he is banging in loads of goals.

He may have only had 6 months in the Premiership but he scores goals and is quite young so he will bulk up further and improve technically.

For Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez, the sky is the limit!

In closing, all I'll say about Torres is that it was great business.

If he's the English Drogba then you can take the price Chelsea paid for him (£24m) and then times it by the English overpriced player multiplier and then also factor in the patented Tomkins Transfer Price Index then he ends up an absolute bargain !

Actually, a lots being made out of his half a season in the Prem but Drogba only played two seasons (only one for Marseille) in the shitty French league before Chelsea saw enough to fork out on him. I think we've a good potential player on our hands if we can nurture his talent. Imagine a Drogba without the cheating and diving. Awesomeness.

What was the deal with Torres acting a cunt behind the scenes in the end?

Can the details be revealed yet?

I'm over the whole Torres thing, but on the other hand I'm still intrigued.

Sunny, I have no doubts about Carroll and think in the end the money we paid will be a snip.

He is gonna be a beast, of that I'm confident!

The very best we can hope of Carroll is to justify his fee in five to six years.

I think surpassing this is a next to impossible task.

I hope Copenhagen put the Chavs in crisis mode.

I like the fact that their coach was cheering for us at the Bridge.
