Huge win. At 1-2 i thought we could slip into Brighton/Brentford mentality and let them back into it but we kept going.

It was disappointing that at 0-2 we got sucked into their tactics and this is what let them back in, but we pulled ourselves together and gave them a good pasting.

MOTM was between Hendo & Robbo for me.

Agree, but I think this game also let us get rid of the latest bad experiences that we've encountered at Goodison of late.
We got sucked in by the crowd, hurried tempo and route one football for 15 mins in the first half. But the way we just took command in the second was very impressive. Very much a mature display and the difference in quality between the two sides was staggering.

As someone said on Twitter last night, I think an Everton fan, that when Coleman and Pickford had a miscommunication and fuck up after 1 minute into the game. Coleman gave him a bollocking and Pickfords response was to laugh - which just underlined the difference in professionalism and why they'd loose this game.

Is it what we needed for the long haul? Brighton and Brentford we just lost it. Last night we regained our composure and then went back to the plan. Knowing we can do that and not go into our shells once again must be good for us mentally.

Honestly it's massively clear what a difference Thiago makes to our team in this regard. When he's up to speed he really helps us play with a confidence and control that we need in games like this, Brighton, West Ham and Brentford are examples of when we've massively missed him.

***when he's up to speed because when he's rusty he has the opposite effect giving away cheap turnovers which further panics the team, it's a fine line.

It’s hard not to feel sorry for Everton and their plight.

It must be heartbreaking for their fans - it’s all such a tragedy.

We should all find an Everton fan to empathise with and support through these dark times.

It’s guaranteed to bring joy into your life.

Agree. It utterly amazes me what some people think they see - even against the weight of stats and pundits.

Stats are bullshit, and some pundits are fucking morons.

I like Thiago and have defended him. I just don't think he played well last night.

Would've been better had the photographer known about depth of field.

You can be mad at Rafa for whatever he said and also not like his pragmatic approach while also recognising we got past two teams far better than us in Juventus and Chelsea in the knockout stage before beating (on penalties) the best club team at the world at that time to win the Champions League
