Hard to give a simple answer. In one sense, no: Rushy definitely wasn't the player any longer that he had been before going to Italy, but he still scored some important goals for us second time around. In another sense, yes: we signed him because the club was in the process of binning Aldo, which WAS a mistake and one of the less admirable episodes in the club's history. Paisley, who was on the board by then and untouchable, openly criticised the Aldo signing (doing that was a disgrace and completely out of order). Aldo, being Aldo, bit back equally openly and was on his way out from that moment. He had been living his dream playing for Liverpool and the club had benefited big time. Should never have happened.

This is such bullshit. The rumour was Villa signed him on loan with an obligation to buy when he'd made 10 appearances.
The lad gave up his life-long dream of making it at Liverpool so that he'd get to play more minutes at Villa. It was a grown-up, professional decision.
Now they're shafting him because, I imagine, they don't have the money / FFP capacity to buy him. They've strung him along and now they're hanging him out to dry by implying he's not good enough or has an attitude problem. Which is total bollocks.
Fuck Villa. Fuck Emery.

The lad deserves so much better than this.

Football is so boring and functional right now that you need to be a white hot star of a footballer if you play in the centre and don't tick the physical boxes.

It's worse in our league than it's ever been. Our league is worse than i can remember it.

Hope he goes off to Portugal, Spain, Italy etc for the sake of his career. He's very decent. Not what we needed unfortunately, but very good nonetheless.
