It's all just public posturing from all parties concerned. Don't believe that Dempsey is only now "unsettled" because Rodgers opened his mouth. He had a big season going into his contract year; surely he would've told the club way ahead that he was playing for a nice, big fat contract or jumping to a club attracted by his performance.

I agree with that. He has done incredibly well in a number of positions over a number of season. He's not an eye-catching player, and he's not somebody I want as a first XI (is there such a thing anymore?) starter when we're going for the title again in a few seasons, but he can play all the positions Maxi, Kuyt and Bellamy played.

On the face of it, he's a bit 'Downing-like', but he's a shit load cheaper and a fuck load more tenacious. He'll not cower, whimpering in the corner, he'll fight and fight. A superb squad player, I'd say. He has won me over, and the more I look at his record, the more it makes sense.

very strange !!! - I wonder whats going on as on the Liverpool Echo it says we don't want him anymore. Surely thats a terrible thing by us if we spoke the player secretly (or through his agent) and then unsettled him completely to this state and then decide not to go ahead and deal with Fullham on this matter. I don't agree with this at all - the issue of tapping up players is ok with me so long as we follow it up and keep any secret promises we have made, but not to ruin someones future.

It's no secret guys that I really want us to get him. I think he will make a difference to our team, I cannot understand why other clubs have not jumped in to sign him, he is not your average player - you always notice him on the pitch and if SG was to get injured he could be a play-maker type in an advanced role. His attributes as a player are best summed up in that youtube video where Fullham played Bolton last season and he scored two goals. Please watch for all you doubters out there.

It's likely that he was unsettled by us and refused to play, then we didn't want him and he felt a right idiot, his sister had a go at him telling him how stupid he was, he's been putting up with her horrible bullshit for years, so he came up with the plan to go back in time and kill his sister on this day many years ago and then he'd have an excuse that people would sympathise with.
