You get the feeling Watford are almost trying damage control instead of any real plan to stop us.

Meanwhile we're just pinging it around & conserving energy doing so.

We're becoming very adept at managing a game.

Amazing turn from salah, he is up for it today. Some sloppy touches by his team mates so far

The test will come when Watford see an opportunity to counter. We are prone to conceding on isolated chances, although we've been better of late (last week excepted, of course).

That'll test the defence of course, but it's inevitable against most sides (not Everton obv, who don't give a shit about attacking us now Fat Sam is in charge).

I mean in terms of us in possession though, at the start of the season we'd be playing at a hundred miles an hour for a period in the game, then we'd sit back & have a breather & not press as hard or fight for possession, then we'd go up the gears again.

Now we seem to be happy coasting along in second gear for much longer, only putting our foot down when we carve out a likely opportunity.

It's a much healthier way of managing a game, especially when sides sit back so much.

Commentators tend to just say we're being patient, but it's more considered than that.
